Interesting. If she is a Solo why isn't she with Han? Maybe she is Luke's daughter then and that's where she lived after he went into his self-imposed exile.

IF this is true it opens up a whole can of worms of questions.

In sounds to me like good written fan fiction, trying to piece together certain facts and rumors.

I love the idea of an impoverished character making a home out of a downed AT-AT.

But I don't see that meshing with Daisy being Leia's daughter. It's got to be either one or the other, but not both.

Exactly! Which is a problem for me. IF passing on what you have learned to a new generation does NOT include Solos or Skywalkers then this is the last trilogy of the series IMO. IF Ridley plays an urchin living by herself on Tatooine that pretty much tells us that she isn't a Solo or Skywalker. Then we are to believe that Ridley and Boyega are the leads as they surely seem, but neither a Solo or Skywalker.

Then do we have offspring from the Big 3 at all? Luke? Probably not if he's been in hiding or captured ...

What about Billie Lourde, Carrie's daughter? She was once rumored to be playing either Leia's daughter or Leia's flashback younger self . . . .

IF a Solo/Skywalker child isn't in the mix then both of the twins didn't have offspring is what that suggests to me. This also suggests that Han and Leia never married and reproduced. Like I said, so many worms and so little time.

It could be concept art that's being described or a set description. Kind of hoping it's rather the latter...

Anyway, like I've said before, I believe the Rachel role was a placeholder for more than one role as was the Thomas role. It would be

If Ridley's character gets announced as a "Jane Harrison", I think they're pulling a "Luke" where "Jane Harrison" doesn't actually know where she comes from (like Luke didn't know his mom and dad) because they're sort of remaking Episode IV. It would be annoying but that's life. You need to wind your brain back to pre-1977 Star Wars, where no one knew blast about anything (not even entirely George Lucas!)

Luke may think going into exile, like obi-wan or Yoda, is part of the training. Being alone to meditate and not have outside influences, offsets the old jedi way of being to old to be trained.

That's a good possibility. I was under the impression he was on the run or something, why that didn't cross my mind is crazy.

I think finding each own's path in the force takes meditation and being passive to the point of straying away from war and paths to anger. If not found at birth like the old jedi way then one must find peace in a galaxy at war to stay in the light.

It could be that Luke found someone, had a child, trained him to a point, sent him on his own solitary missionary. Then trained Adam Driver, sent him on his own solitary missionary, in which the force tells him to return to fight in the wars, being a pilot, and there is the first step toward the darkside. Then trained Daisy, (and possibly her twin) and sent her (them) to find peace and stray from negative influence. It would explain why Daisy, Luke's son, and possibly Pip Andersen are all in different solitary locations. Then they unite to take on Driver who was taken, through war, to the darkside.

Somebody on another board said (appropriate grains of salt as I don't know their track record):

My initial instinct was the same as @Ceruleanlord. Some sort of exile or solitary meditation mission.

But another alternative could be more tactical. Perhaps she is on tattoine in a sort of long term stakeout as a way of looking for Luke. Thinking he might return home. That would also explain the temporary accommodations of a ruined AT-AT.

I feel like if she was just a poor citizen of tattoine, she wouldn't be living a solitary existence in the desert and would be more likely to at least live in a town or port of some sort.

Anyone think this sounds a lot like Anakin and Luke? Anakin was the slave of a Junkyard owner. Luke repaired droids out on the moisture farm in the middle of nowhere. Does show a Skywalker lineage and one that leans towards Luke and not Leia. People talk about Driver being from an aristocratic line... the only royalty in the OT was a princess. So Driver could very well be Leia's son.

That does make a lot of sense. Her being the Anakin/Luke of this trilogy, which I hope is the case, doesn't necessarily imply she is Luke's offspring though. It shows a Skywalker lineage - and Leia is just as much a part of that lineage as Luke is. She could still be Leia's daughter, just a daughter that has a few more traits of her grandfather than her mother did. Leia and Han having children just makes more sense than Luke, to me anyway.

I really enjoy the idea posted above of her sort of "staking out" on Tatooine in hopes of Luke returning there. Or the idea of her being sent there by Luke as part of her training.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned but has anybody else considered that Daisy's character may actually be called Kira in the film? It would make sense as an homage to Akira Kurosawa and would also be a typically "Abramsy" Easter egg. In addition to this, the plot so far has very much got a Kurosawa vibe to it, if rumours are to be believed.
