Not sure I 100% agree with the assertion that Luke is on Jakku in that shot, but compelling evidence none the less.

 

He was not in the most recent podcast and he usually is.

 

Who else has a prosthetic hand like that.

 

He is not saying that it isn't Luke, he is saying that it isn't Jakku. You can clearly tell it's a separate and elevated set Luke and R2 are on.
The only thing they have in common with the village set in the background is that both use sand.

Yes, that's what I meant. I 100% think its Luke. But I think its possible that could be Tatooine or another location.

I'm NOT saying it isn't Jakku, just that the village in the back ground doesn't automatically mean the scene is in the same location in the movie.

 

Does anyone have info which can corroborate the latest info put out about Han/Leia/Kylo Ren by MSW?
I like the info put out, but don't know if it can be trusted. If they are really FOS in this regard that would irritate me.

Based on what we saw in the trailer, they have been pretty accurate since they got their hands on the alleged "shot list". Many of the scenes from the second trailer were described on MSW months before the trailer came out. I don't know of anything that was contradicted by them in the trailer, accept maybe this scene we're discussing with Luke and Artoo.

 

...and I have heard this stuff before. Specifically as it pertains to Kylo Ren possibly being Han and Leia's son, and sitting in the pilot's chair of the Falcon as if he was familiar with it -- the intimation that he was their son. Han and Leia sharing a moment which would indicate they may still be close as of TFA, or if not that they at least have ties -- i.e. a child or children together.

Up until recently I've been of the opinion that what info they've put out there has been in good faith and "real" to the best of their knowledge, but then -- as I understand it -- someone associated with them deliberately posts something false and was "dismissed" from the site. Accidental misinformation I can overlook, but deliberate misinformation is BS. So that episode -- noted previously in this thread -- sort of gives me pause as to whether this particular story from MSW is accurate. I'm guessing that these two sites have different sources and it would be cool if anyone here has received the same info from different/their own sources which might line up with their most recent article. I honestly think/feel it is accurate, or could be, but am curious if someone else here knew the same thing through their own paths.

I think you are mixing up things. MSW fired one of their staff members because MF pointed out how he deliberately was trolling other news sites. He was pretending to be different people in order to add credibility to his made up trailer descriptions so that MSW would come out on top as the only legit Starwars site.
All the recent information that MSW has provided since he got his hands on that shot list has been accurate, or shall I say, nothing has been proven false. Some of the stuff has been seen in the trailers, which adds credibility. There is no reason to not trust these shot descriptions YET.

By the way, this is another one of those things you might have missed in Celebration. This was projected on the screen but no digital image was ever distributed by disney. So just like that one picture of Rey with "the pinecone", we only have photos of this picture. I took rebelscum's picture, which is the best one I could find and removed a bit of the blur caused by the camera being shacked when the picture was taken.
I believe this scene is in the forest, probably after Han, chewie and company get out of the Falcon. The reason why I believe this is because the rock wall in the background looks very similar to that other behind the scenes photo where Chewbacca is talking to JJ.

 

Interesting that the scene intros now reference The Resistance and The First Order. I don't remember MSW posts having those references before the trailer dropped. Also, is this the first time we're hearing about Rey getting captured? I know there was some concept art suggesting as much, but don't remember too many details beyond that.

This was the first I remember hearing about Rey getting captured, but there's so much to keep straight in the rumor department these days.

 

Those references are new and he may just be inserting them into the descriptions now that Celebration (where the names appeared) is over. Just like he substitutes the name "Kira" for Rey.
