what I gathered from concept art and rumors.

 

Well Jj says the rumors are almost correct.

 

I did some digging on what weapons REY will be using, seeing her toy can hold a cough *lightsaber*. There are other weapons such as pole arms, pikes and so on used by people in the star wars world. Some of them are even lightsaber variants, thus such as light saber pike which we saw a form that darth maul uses.

What I am getting at? Well in return of the jedi Leia disguises herself as a bounty hunter, part of the outfit she has an Electrostaff. Fighting on the barge she also takes a guards weapon which was a Vibro-ax.

So on REY's speeder we can see some kind of pole or so. Is it a long rifle to mirror Luke's from a new hope he keeps on his speeder? Or is it a weapon handed down to her from her mother?

Well that's a better understanding of what Rey's pole looking thing could be. I thought of a Gaffi stick but they're not as long as the pole thing on the speeder and don't look like one.

Could Rey have modified a Electrostaff into a Lightsaber pike?

 

It appears from the rumors that Rey is very agile. I think that is a safe bet given her stunt double (her name escapes me at the moment). The weapon on the side of the speeder is definitely intriguing. I'm really curious to see it in action

 

Rey would need to be agile, I guess she will be doing a lot of running & taking part dodging blaster fire before returning fire off course etc, No time for a breather for her.

 

I hope not.

If she is the new Luke skywalker which makes sense, but I think she is a mix of Luke and Han. Here is a thought what if she is Luke's daughter? But I have my credits on her being Han's daughter.

Look at who Daisy is sitting between? HAN AND LEIA
Doesn't it confirm she is REY SOLO?

Look at John and Oscar's reactions towards Adam. Adam seems to be near the Solo's, the son that turns evil?

Look at where Domhnall is sitting right close to C3-p0 and Luke. Luke's son?

Andy Serkis sitting right next to Luke, perhaps some relations to him his grandfather Plagueis?

The meaning of where they're sitting has something to do with the movie

Nah Lando was at the party, tho he never did tell Han about losing the dish on the Falcon. Back to Leia and Han, they go on the Falcon with no one there, then lock the door.

Ridley is isolated from every member of the new cast on the right side. She sits with Harrison Ford on the same couch. She divides Han from Leia and Leia from Han. She's the new hope, new chosen one, new trilogy story hero.



Driver, Ford, and Ridley were deemed the most important actors to highlight as the photographer gave them the prime positioning in the photo and proximity to the director. Could also suggest family on opposing sides of the war. The most well-known star of the movie sits with the director. R2-D2 is behind them and R2 is like the historic Star Wars mascot.

Serkis and Hamill are sitting next to each other. The new "Evil Yoda" or Emperor and the new "Good Yoda". Both actors are said to be cameos in the new movie.

Driver and Boyega are sitting nearby because they are both the "neo-Imperials" in the opening battle with Isaac

who is captured by Driver's character. Driver's character wants the BB-8 droid that contains the lightsaber. BB-8 sped off from the fight and later joins Rey.

Boyega and Isaac spend a lot time together in the opening like C3PO and R2-D2 in A New Hope or Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan in The Phantom Menace (Lucas said he used Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan as the POV droid equivalents in TPM.) Driver is on a couch but not with another character.

Gleeson is also said to be a "neo-Imperial" "General".

He is quite old. His character is said to die in the opening of the movie due to Driver's character and is code named or named the "Vicar"

Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, and Pip Andersen are also not pictured. Their business deals may not have been finalized at the time and may not all be important characters going forward.

Nyong'o is said to be a motion captured alien character code named or name "Rose", and Christie is a "neo-Imperial" officer (thought to be "Captain Phasma") that is connected to Boyega's character in a smaller role.
