Yeah that was stupid. Well, that's not how cloning works. All Jengo clones were trained for years and were so not like Jengo, a human stores information in his brain not his DNA.

Well maybe they do train them at some secret cloning facility so they're are at least similar .

Making something similar or a cheap rip off is not how you make an appealing character, to many writers tried that already, it doesn't work. Then I would even prefer her just showing up in VIII without an explanation, because in the end it doesn't even matter how she escaped.

Yeah, Phasma has pretty much been a nothing character so far. Multiplying a zero still leaves you with zero.

Yeah like every new villain character in the start of a new trilogy was already fleshed out, the emperor in ANH or Jabba and let's not forget Maul..

The Emperor dismantled the Senate. Jabba put a price on Han's head. Maul killed Obi-Wan’s master. Phasma . . . did what people told her to . . . pretty well . . . I guess.

My point was that we don’t need MORE Phasmas. Just one good one.

Are we talking about the same clones from CW or a new set of clones? If they are clones and I assume they would be the remaining clones from the CW they would be what around...35-50ish? I know huge range but whatever. I base the age off of Rex from Rebels. In Rebels we know that the clones were given a choice on whether they wanted to stay with the emperor or they could retire. I can see that these Death Troopers are the clones that stuck around. It makes sense that these troopers "the clones" are the same troopers that killed 100's of jedi from Order 66. I feel that if the clones decided and wanted to keep working for the emperor that the name Death Trooper is rewarded to these clones that killed Jedi.

I don't think Training or Education get cloned. That's why Lama Su explains how proud they are of their of their training program, and we see the clones all getting their education when they're wearing those weird headpiece things.

Plus, there's a Clone Military Education Complex on Kamino: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Tipoca_City_Military_Complex

I'm pretty sure the Force Unleashed games aren't canon.

Just checked, it's part of the Legenda, now: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_The_Force_Unleashed

The Imperial Death Troopers are elite S.A.S. like soldiers of Imperial Intelligence and they serve as bodyguards and enforcers for Director Krennic. For them, only really tall and thin actors were selected.

    Citing Gareth Edwards on them:

"At the very back of the room are all of these drawers that are full of the Joe Johnston and Ralph McQuarrie originals — the original, actual paintings that they showed the studio to get Star Wars made," he said. "And on some of those images, there were these Stormtroopers that were really tall and thin, and they looked so cool and athletic. When you put armor on a Stormtrooper, they look like NFL players, but they were sleek and S.A.S.-looking Stormtroopers. So we thought, Let's try to find some six, seven foot tall people who are really thin and try to figure out a new Stormtrooper that can actually hit its target with guns. And they became, eventually, the Death Troopers."

So for the clone thing I think:
    • they are definitely not clones of Jango Fett, appearance and build doesn't match at all
    • the chances that are a new type of clones is very slim, much more likely is that they are handpicked specialists, trained since early on
What would be the use of clones for such a small and rare elite unit compared to the British army “S.A.S.” model of recruiting and training?

I hope that we will meet them again in Rebels or the Han Solo spin off. But as it seems that their fate might be tied to Krennic’s environment, there's little chance they show up after ANH somewhere (at least thinking of the OT ;)).

In legends it was nearly impossible to clone a force-sensitive individual. I assume it is something similar in canon.
That was flash memory training, combined with a connection to the force. It was not genetic at all.
It was established in The Clone Wars TV series that there is no specific biological weapon for Kaminoan clones. I would assume something similar would be the case for any future clones. The only ones with the ability to produce one would be the people who design the clones.

In my original post where I mentioned the DT's being all women, I didn't mean to imply that they were "Phasma" related. Just that maybe they are a race of women that are tall strong and more like what we picture as amazonian. Elite killers that are raised to be that way.

That was during the clone wars, Hux said it later, maybe they invented something or he is just afraid some one could.

7 foot tall storm trooper clones, male/female, would make me take a bantha poodo in my pants :p because they'd be so intimidating.

Maybe they're androids? The Darktroopers appear in the trailer for Rebels Season 3 from Dark Forces.

    "In legends
Errr some of the main plots in "Legends" were clones of Palp, while he is no "Chosen One," still a big force user, (Palp that is) not sure what you reference when you say it's "nearly impossible" to clone force users.

That said, I love the idea of still using clones in SW, Obi talks about it in the very first movie, why not keep using it?!
