@master_shaitan I think what you fail to recognise is people see the dark and light as reflecting simple patterns in life, like the yin and yang. Its not my obligation to broader your understanding on this, but if you chose to pursue it you will probably realise for yourself that your simplistic view of the force yearning for good is more a reflection or your own bias not an accurate reflection of life.

I am happy to answer that can we just put aside this childish bickering and get back to actually exchanging ideas?

    I'm waiting for your ideas...
What is the balance of the Force and how is it unbalanced?

No, at the moment you patronising me, I think if we are to further this discussion we need to return to an order of respect for each other?

Or how about you go back and look at all the times I answered your questions and then you do me the same courtesy?
It's really funny, Fallen Angel wouldn't answer questions either...

I am literally in the process of writing a response, I want your agreement to being respectful to each other or I am afraid this is a discussion I no longer wish to engage in. I ow you nothing while your asking something of me, my opinion, whist being rude.

When we are talking balance of the force, we should start with, people that unset the balance of the force are force users.
As the saga focus's on specifically force users, and this is a discussion on the saga's prophecy. We have no reference for any none force user having any real impact, that is contained in the saga.

When there are no force users to upset the Neutral force (as I see it) its homeostasis is neutral and balanced. None force users make no real impact on the force that we have seen.
When there is an equal proportion (like yin and yang) of each side, there is balance. This would be where we digress in to a "but thats not literal numbers debate" so I will address this.
If you agree with my premise that in the absence of force Users the force is balanced. There needs to be a number of force users to begin with that upset its homeostasis.
Any number of force user would effect its natural state, causing unbalance. It would return to a some what natural state if opposing sides counterbalance each other, or are removed.

Numbers are relevant. In the absence of any number of force user there is balance. So any number of force users, not in equal proportion cause unbalance. How a force user implements there force ability to though is important.
We have no way of measuring the impact a Sith has in damage so the only real way we can articulate in a discussion like this, the effect, is to acknowledge one Sith can do more damage than none, therefore a natural conclusion to this would be two Sith can do more damage then one. This becomes recourse incorporating and acknowledging both number and action i.e., how a force user employs there power to be significant.

Re-emergence has to be a factor in a tale that needs both good and bad polar opposites for there to be a conflict to resolve. As there will always be a need for both sides. Either side can therefore never maintain complete control. As a natural conclusion when either side has a proportionate level of control it is at its most balanced. Void of being able to remove all parts reverting it back to its natural state of homeostasis.

I hope this goes some way as to explain how I see balance of the force.

So balance = the equal use of Force power used by the Jedi and Sith? So it's not numbers but say 2 Sith use the same Force power as 100 Jedi, say? Is that what you're saying in simple terms?

Im not sure it can be condensed down to a simple statement, as I said there are contributing factors.

Do you agree with George Lucas that Anakin brought balance when he destroyed the Sith?

Can I first ask you what is the prophecy, as you understand it?
Do you recognise there to be only one prophecy and if so could you write what that prophecy is for clarity's sake.

The closest thing we will ever get to knowing the actual prophecy was likely written in the journal of the whills as part of lucas' original concept:

"And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as THE SON OF THE SUNS".

So essentially that - there will be dark times, imbalance and a being would be born who would put an end to the dark times by bringing balance. The Jedi correctly assumed this to mean that the chosen one would destroy the Sith - which Anakin did in rotj.

Shall we discuss what was contained in the saga movies after all the prophecy is very specific to them. and makes no reference to that prophecy.

For clarity sake I have included the full prophecy.

Which I stated above...can we not go around in circles and just once you answer the questions I put to you? I did the same for you. The prophecy is straight forward.

So, do you agree with Lucas that Anakin was the chosen one and he did bring balance to the force?

I have answered every question you have put. I realise that you adopt this position so later you can claim against the person that they have been uncooperative. By way of establishing repetitive use. What you actually did was ask a question. I needed you to clarify something before I could answer. You answered out side the scope of what was asked. I then needed to reiterate the question being more specific, which then enabled you to claim avoidance on my part.

So I ask again, and please read carefully what is being asked of you. In relation to the prophecy put to screen. Is there only one prophecy and could you please state it. I can very quickly then explain my view.

Why do you need me to put the prophecy to you so you can say whether you agree with Lucas or not? Bizarre.

The prophecy was that there would be imbalance and a chosen one would balance it.

Balance is to have a perfect blend of things that is what balance is I think in SW as well. I don't think the destruction of the Sith made the Force balanced in a universal sense, because if the Force was balanced the Galaxy I think wouldn't still be in a huge mess in the time in between Return of the Jedi as well as during TFA(Aftermath and Bloodline make that clear). I believe balance is only in individual Force Users because the Force I interpret as having many shades and ways of using it rather than light and dark. I kind of disregard the prophecy as of now as something the Jedi had a sort of grasp but couldn't fully understand.

But it's stated as "bringing balance TO THE Force" (not individuals nor those that use the force) + Lucas said Anakin brought balance by destroying the Sith...

If you could refrain from being insulting please. I won't ask again.

Do you agree then that when obi-wan later says "Anakin will destroy the sith" that is just an interpretation but distinct from the prophecy?
