Han Solo movie - Ending

I don't know if it's been confirmed, but most of us assume Han will be in his early 20s. What is confirmed is that Han will win the M. Falcon. So early 20s does seem right, judging by how well the guy can drive the ship.

 

I read somewhere it's supposed to take place 10 years before Episode IV.

 

One fun fan-service way they could partly bridge HS + ANH is to have Han Solo dash into Tosche Station to buy some power converters.

In strolls a younger Luke, also there to buy some, but Han leaves with the last ones in hand.

"Hey, can I buy one off you? Look, I'll pay you double," Luke says to Han.

Han smirks in disbelief. "That's not how it works, kid."

Luke looks disappointed, but Camie comes in and leads him out, smiling, by the arm, saying Biggs is waiting.

Outside, Han strolls past Luke's landspeeder, gives it a look, and mutters to himself, "Piece of junk."

An elderly man in a brown robe brushes past Han. "Hey, watch it, old man," Han yells and turns, only to see the man is no longer there.

Han, mystified, walks faster toward Chewbacca, up ahead, and says, "Come on, Chewie, let's get back home," as they approach the Falcon.

 

I assume since they mentioned this would be the how Han and Chewie met that it would bar like 10 years or so before ANH.
Personally I don't think movie should have too many direct references to ANH.

My idea for the ending:
The entire movie should have Lando wearing the classic Han costume (White shirt, black best, blue pants) and the Falcon should still be Lando's. After the heist or whatever the conflict will be we see the card game between Han and Lando, at first everyone from the movie is in the game but slowly we see it dwindle. Lando wants to make things interesting and starts make some crazy bets with the final being "if you win you can have any ship in my garage." Han keeps a straight face and agrees, they reveal their hands and Han wins to everyone's surprise. The next thing we see is Han walking past dozens of kick-ass ships because he knows exactly what he wants he gets to the Falcon which Lando forgot was with his other ships and says something like "no, no, no not the Falcon she doesn't count" or something but maybe Chewie enforces the bet and Han gets the ship. We see Han and Chewie get in the Falcon and take off, Lobot (who should be a main supporting character in the movie, but without his head device) should make some smart-ass comment. We see Han roaming the Falcon and finds the Captain's quarters (which we have never seen before, so it could be cool to see) and Han goes over to the closet, opens it and finds the same outfit (White shirt, black best, blue pants) a dozen times (like Brundle from the Fly). We then cut to Han walking into the main area with the holochess table where Chewie is but Han is now wearing the iconic costume (our first time seeing Alden in it) and he asks Chewie how it looks, Chewie roars, Han laughs. Roll credits.

The point behind the closet full of the outfit would be to explain why Lando suddenly wears Han's clothes at the end of Empire, as if he was wore it to get back at Han all those years ago.

 

That means Han Solo will be 19 years old.

 

Not really. In canon his age during the events of ANH is not specified, although Lucasfilm leans towards making him the same age as Harrison was at 1977, meaning 34 (Pablo wrote about it on Twitter.)

What do you mean by that?

 

I mean I Feel Alden is playing "39 years old" but he's so young

 

But he won't play Han 10 years after ANH, he'll be playing him 10 years prior to Episode IV, so he's going to be playing younger Han.

 

Three things that should be in the movie in one way or another in no particular order:

1. Meeting with Jabba.

2. Confrontation with Greedo that helps set up their hatred of each other.

3. The Kesel Run.

Probably just getting out of some scrape and surviving, flying off into space, after screwing someone over.

I have heard that it will take place around the time that Han Solo was in the Imperial Academy. I think what might happen is as follows

Act 1 - Han in training to be a trooper. Chewbacca and a bunch of wookies arrive as slaves onto the imperial base. Han witnesses them torture Chewbacca. Han learns that from there the wookies will be sent to work the spice mines of kessel. He rescues him him forsaking the Empire and the two escape on an A-Wing. Han promises chewie that they will rescue his friends but first they have to get a clean ship.

Act 2 - Hand meets Woody Herrelson upon returning home to Corellia. Woody decides to take the upstrart Imperial defect under his wing and takes him two the sabaac table where Han is introduced to Lando. A card game takes place where Han almost wins the Falcon but Imperials come break it up and Han Lando Chewie and Woody make a break for it. Lando takes them to the ship he was in (not the falcon) and they take off. Han tries to convince them to go to kessel they vote him down.

Act 3 - After landing on Nar Shadda (to play more sabbac) Han and Chewie steal the ship and head for Kessel. Lando and Woody realize that Han and Chewie are missing and follow in another ship that Lando has in storage on Nar Shadda. a YT Corellian Freighter, THe Millenium Falcon. Seedless to say chewie and han fail to rescue Chewies family from kessel and end up in the Falcon and the finale is the kessel run. ending with a small wrap up scene to finish out the story where Han and Chewie punch the hyperdrive into action the film will pan to one of two epilogue scenes

1 - 10 years later showing Chewie and Han arrive on Tatooine just before the events of A New Hope to deal with Jabba

2 - 35 or so years later showing Han and Chewie as their post RotJ sleves heading to the mission that costs them the Falcon

 

A like that a lot.

I think option two would be better as we can see Ford one more time as Han.

 

I think option two is more fun as well bu tbh I think it would give more fan service to use option one. also you could still have Ford play him for the small cameo, you would just need to use a little make up and CGI to make him younger. Like they did in Ant-Man with Michael Douglas and Civil War with RDJ

Also I think this might be the basic projection but not fully detailed one. Some of the details I did might be different as well like the other wookies were already on Kessel and Chewie was the only one brought to the base.

I will say though option two for an epilogue scene makes way for Han Solo 2: Smuggler's Tragedy: A Star Wars Story
