Great find! I hadn`t noticed that before. :)

0:14 - 0:25 is also very similiar to

    0:00-0:05.

That plays when the DS`s dish is installed.

Wow, good catch! I'm seeing more and more how Giacchino borrowed from the texture of ANH's score too, not just melodies and cues.

All great discoveries, guys. I cannot wait for new Star Wars Oxygen, Collins just scratched the surface in the first RO show. He is so knowledgeable and sometimes when he points something out, I want to smack myself how I didn't hear it. But, then again, I am more visual person. :)

I loved Giacchino's work on this soundtrack. Of course he has a really high bar to be compared - John Williams work - but he made a really great work. I loved how one of the main leifmotifs had some inspiration on "Across the Stars" and how he left some cues and winks to the existent Star Wars music. For example, I loved how when the Rebel Fleet appears over Scarif and we get a glimpse of the Ghost ship, you can hear the Rebels theme - which itself it is a variation of the Star Wars music but in a faster tempo.

(See this one from 1:26 to 1:31)

I think this little callback (or preview, depending on your point of view)...

    :02 to :09

    is pointing to this:

    1:49 to 1:53

Hey everyone, I'm not sure if this question has been posted before, but I'm looking for two specific bits of music from Jedha that I haven't been able to track down.

The tracks on Jedha have a wonderful ethnic quality to them that is both new and familiar to Star Wars. I was instantly captivated by the "eastern" vibe and was a bit underwhelmed when I noticed they were not included on the official soundtrack.

The first bit is when Bodhi being handed off to Saw's troops. It's being hinted at in the track "Jedha Arrival", starting at 1:04.

The second bit is during the prison scene inside Saw's base. It's the in-universe muic playing over the hologram of the dancing twi'lek, when we see the Saw's crew playing Dejarik and whatnot.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be great!

    First, welcome to the Cantina!

I don't know about the second one, but the first piece of music stood out to me too and, unfortunately, I think the bit you posted - is it. I think it's exactly the same in the movie accurate soundtrack posted by Disney. But, maybe you could judge by yourself. It's not a huge help, I know, but so far these two soundtrack versions are what we have.

I wish this was on the CD. I love the sped up version of Krennic's theme at the end.

Seems like in Jedha's destruction it took some good music with it from the soundtrack. I too really liked the music as Saw's rebels are leading Bodhi away, which of course is not on the soundtrack. The other piece I liked, which I now know what it is called (thanks for the link), is Hearts of Kyber. This piece plays as Jyn meets Chirrut for the first time. Man, wish this would have made it onto the soundtrack.

Well, almost a year later and I finally tracked down the piece I was talking about: it's at the very beginning of this clip (from the Star Wars NL channel)

Here's hoping they'll release the full track some day!

Is this the missing Jedha music you're after?

I honestly think this OST is better than anything Williams did for the sequel trilogy. Giacchino is a great composer.

The Imperial March from now on needs to be slowed down with a church choir chanting. That was awesome towards the end of Rogue One with Vader mowing down the Rebels. :D
