Oh yes, I'm well aware of that! I was simply saying I would have preferred to see the Z-95's as opposed to the ARC-170's in the film. While I understand the split wing testing and lore, I think stylistically the Z-95's could have done the same thing for the general audience, and appease fans who had been wanting to see them on film.

I hadn't heard about the Clone Troopers and battle droids being based off styles from the '20s! That makes so much sense. I definitely see that with the battle droids more.

Most of it isn't other than the fact that a variant of the Z-95 was seen in The Clone Wars (the old design was re-canonized, which saddens me a little since that reintroduces the weird variant fact that I've always hated. Should have given the TCW design a different number).

I was really impressed about creative designs of B1 and Droideka, but not B2. I like Droideka>B1>B2.

Droidekas were always the coolest designs for me. They always came across as threatening, even in the cartoons.

There were some funny moments with the B1 especially in the CW so they get my votes.

    I. Uh. Wait. What?

I'm just going to pretend there was a packaging error at the plant, and that nobody thought this was an idea that made any sense.

Although a little cluttered, the packaging looks fairly professional. It's the... assortment of characters, that stands out as not being a legit Disney product.

Since I had to choose between only the three, my poll was casted to the B1 Battle Droid and all it's variations. B1's are a simple cold tool, that are incredibly effective in large numbers and highly replacable at the end of the day. Some were given more sophisticated hardwiring than others with more intellegence, impulse, and tactical skill set. Drawbacks of Droidekas are that they can't pilot a ship, fly a Starfighter, mount a canon, or operate a CIS tank if need be like the B1's can do.

The ones we mostly see are the original iconic tan, slim jim robot that usually get sliced to peices by a lightsaber within four seconds. I actually am very content with how often this occurs, it sets up great action storylines allowing jedi and trooper alike to consistently drive through waves of mindless B1 after B1.

I agree Quincy. As far as being the most able, these droids definitely take the cake in all aspects; intellegence, speed, agility, and flexibility. So naturally, we are forced to take them seriously.

As far as looks, I think the Aqua Droid brings it home. Although they physically look awesome, you'd think they would be more aquadynamic but nevertheless, they obtain a very sleek look.

    1. The B1 Battle Droids are my favourite. Their appeal to me comes from the fact that's they're very simplistic and functional looking. No fancy weapons or armour.
    2. The B2 Battle Droids look a little off in AOTC for some reason. Like they don't look fully 3D. This was rectified in ROTS though.
    3. I'm curious as to what the B3 Battle Droids mentioned in Dark Disciple look like in canon.

personally i think that the commando droids were the best because they kicked the crap out of the clones a lot and could take more then one shot from a blaster

    B-1 battle droid.
People say they weren't imposing. But neither are most stormtroopers.

Look kids. 3 bad guys; Darth Maul, Tim Allen, nevermind.

Of the three droids it's the Droideka. But anyone know, I assume, they have magnetic wheels, like R2 rolling on the wing, to roll up walls and over ships.
