As was said, in the light side ending they capture Vader and leave with Boba Fett quietly in pursuit. But it's not just how they spring Vader, it also leaves open (unless some other media I don't know about has wrapped up the story) what happens to Starkiller since he's absent from the OT. When he was dead at the end of the first game it wrapped things up. Also, wasn't it still up in the air whether or not this was actually a clone or the real Starkiller who somehow wasn't dead? I forget, while I have played it once or twice in recent memory I was just playing the levels and not getting into the cutscenes. Maybe they said and I forgot.

Ah, for some reason I could only remember Kota scoffing at the idea of cloning a Jedi and insisting he really was Starkiller. But I knew the Dark Side ending had a Dark clone of Starkiller so it is apparently possible.

Right, I wasn't calling Starkiller a Jedi it was just what I thought Kota had said, about how it wasn't possible to clone a Jedi or something. While Starkiller wasn't a Jedi Kota was talking about being able to replicate a Force user's ties to the Force. I get each clone would have to be retrained to use the Force, it was just whether clones would have the Force which Kota seemed to doubt for a while. I don't know, like I said it's been forever since I actually watched the story instead of just playing a level or two.

Well, since none of it is canon anymore anyway, we could look to Battlefront: Elite Squadron. X1 and X2 were both clones of a Jedi who eventually gained their connections to the force.

I was sure there was probably some answer or other instance in the canon somewhere, but as far as the game was concerned you apparently could as well and Kota was just mistaken, or speaking dialogue just meant to make the player question what Starkiller was. The game was just so forgettable that I forgot the answer to the question I guess.

I was hoping for remastered versions for eventually, but I don't think we will be getting them.

I think we were lucky to get backwards compatibility, much less a remastering. To be honest though I still think they hold up. I was playing them recently and the only thing that bothered me was that I found the gameplay kind of boring. I don't know if games have gotten more fun or if I just played WAY too much TFU back in the day that it no longer does anything for me. Which is a possibility because I did wear those games out. Well the first more than the second.

Oh, yeah. I think everyone enjoyed the games story, but the gameplay/quick-time events did get repetitive. I still think they hold up graphically, especially II since it was a late-console release.

I've never had too big of a problem with QTEs but there were just so many of them in TFU. Not just the occasional post-boss battle like most games, but every time you face off against a walker or those garbage titan things. Speaking of the story, have you read the books? I've been considering it for a long time but haven't gotten around to it, I'm just curious what people thought of them.

Oh yes - the walker/rancor fights were a chore after the first time.

And yes, they actually are pretty fair adaptations. Worth your time for sure.

Since there's no TFU II specific thread, just a heads up that the game will be free on Games with Gold for Xbox from 1-15 May and then Lego SW The Complete Saga is available from 16-31 May.

As a PS4 player I'm really jealous tbh.

All we get for PS+ are trash indie games that cost less than 5 bucks
    :(

They're also having a May 4th sale, through the 8th on a lot of Star Wars stuff. I just grabbed FX2 Pinball, which is free, and a pack of Star Wars tables for half off at $15. They're a lot of fun, I used to love a Star Wars Pinball game a local movie theater had back in the day and these tables are even cooler. I hadn't heard of this game until today.

I still have my TFU I and II discs but I traded in my Lego SW Complete Saga disc right after I beat it, probably 8-9 years ago. After recently enjoying the TFA Lego game I've been keeping my eye out for a cheap copy but it looks like I can just get it from Gold.

After playing most of TFUII, I can see why fans tend to prefer the first game.
I actually like TFUII's gameplay better for the most part, though I feel like I have a tougher time selecting targets (is that just me, or are other people experiencing that too?) That being said, there's just such a lack of content there. TFU didn't have a ton of planets, but it's better than the 3ish in TFUII (I'm not gonna count Dagobah. And the campaign itself is even shorter. Just seemed like a lot of missed potential, but I really can't complain since Gold got it free for me anyway.
