What character do you think should get a stand alone film?

Any Star Wars monster that can be used in a creature feature would be great.

 

I would still be concerned that the performance would sound stilted or awkward if it's digitally re-created. Look how many years have been spent trying to escape the uncanny valley of digital actors, and audiences can still identify a CGI re-creation immediately (however beautifully constructed they may be). Our ears are just as attuned to the micro-nuances of speech as we are to spotting CGI eyes and other problematic features. Mind you, if anyone can pull it off it's Lucasfilm, but ultimately I would prefer JEJ simply live another 20 years.

 

I think you are greatly over thinking it right now.

That is what the voice library is for. You record for all of these things. Given the simplicity of Vader's dialogue and that he'd likely only be used like he is in Rogue One from here out (or maybe slightly more) it really wouldn't be that difficult.

I think Fett is gonna be the star of the TV show... maybe a movie at a later date spawning from the TV series...?

A Qui-Gon movie would be great, and could also involve Dooku as his master and Yoda. Some sort of adventure with those 3 tick a few boxes...

Maul already has TCW and Rebels...
Doubt we'll see Mace again...
A war movie with clones is a possibility, but I very much doubt it...
And I'd guess that Vader is gonna pop up a fair bit...

But really, Pruneface needs his own movie...

 

Oh I didn't know that Darth Maul was in TCW and Rebels, do they explain his background there? Because I was wondering about ever since I saw Darth Maul in the PT. I would have loved a movie just about Maul right after the Phantom Menace. Missed opportunity if you ask me. Think it is a bit too late now, because I'm not sure if Ray Park would still like to play Darth Maul again. Maybe Maul can be a part of a stand alone film with Palpatine, that would be awesome!

(in TCW, insane with mechanical spider legs and his hatred for Kenobi kept his dark side power going which in turn kept him alive, then Mother Talzin does some dark side magik on him and he becomes sane again, his spider legs turn into normal mech legs and he joins his younger, but bigger, brother)

Qui Gon and Darth Maul. BUT they're not yet "jedi" nor "sith;" still learners. They're paths cross but they're in a situation where they need each others' help to get off some planet at the most critical time. They see the paradox of how the Sith and Jedi are different but also the same. And Qui Gon has a moment where his ponders all he knows and believes. And when they see each other again years later (TPM) it's like 'we helped each other in the past but this is now, all debts are gone. This is war.'

 

What happened to Palo! I HAVE TO KNOW!! Better make it a trilogy.

 

Or Wampas Vs Rancors, in a neutral territoy of course, but really don't know which could be... and I think at the end all would die. So...

 

Vader vs Ahsoka would be cool.

 

obi' is on the WANT-list of course,... OBI is ALWAYS no.ONE, but I did not vote for Obi, because there are already rumours of it happening I voted for VADER ! who is also always no.1 on the other side (& then i asked myself WHY?)

Before R.1 i had no desire to know more about VADER (in Armour) since we are used to him being just cold & detached behind that suit & emotionally dead, just carrying out the Emperor's demands like a soulless robot.
--- But then we learned a little more about him in R1 that raised a lot of questions about his emotional state after Order66 & i suddenly wanted to know more about his feelings of betrayal & broken promises by the Emperor. And of course: see more of his castle on Mustafar where he retreats to meditate over what went wrong... "on that very hot summer day when he was young & ~in love~ & control of everything, holding his fate & their future right in his hands"...........

BUT MOST OF ALL i'd like to see ANY movie that is set in the post-ROTJ/pre-TFA timeline about ANY minor/& or new character (since it can't be about the big 3 or the main storyline) but we can hear about it/them & visit the new republic /former empirebuildings (coruscant/lothal etc.) & even LUKE's jedi academy. We only get a glimpse of the Hosnian Prime system/senators in TFA & the Jedi Academy we know nothing about.

If it is set in the timeline just before Ben Solo becomes Kylo Ren, we could se the Academy in it's prime & then the ruins of it. We already know that Luke are away on a mission, so it could even include a robed & shaved Hamill shot from behind on his way into an old Jedi Temple & later shots of him motionless, meditating & communicating with Yoda, Obi & Anakin, with murky shadows, & shimmering glow from the forceghost that could create the illusion of him being a decade younger.

A mainstory about a young jedi-student (non-human) could also include hints & glimpses about Rey & Finn's backstories: we're they come from & their respective families, with the non-human padawan being the connection between their backstories.... thus Luke knowing about them.

& finally i'd REALLY like to see a second Solo sibling, that somehow got lost or died tragically, making HAN & LEIA's breakup even more tragic & giving weight to Kylo Ren's betrayal & his selfdestruction of the sweet innocent boy that he was as Ben & together with a loved (non-twin) sibling.... -Nice twist eyyyh?

 

Jar Jar stand alone film. Standing alone back against a brick wall with an Imperial firing squad taking aim....

Most of the characters I want movies for would actually be trilogies rather than stand-alone films. Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan Kenobi is a big one, which is odd, bc when I watch ROTS, I do kind of agree with Anakin that the Jedi Council is going down the wrong path and they are a problem. He just played the character so well. I wanna see his life on Tattoine. I'm sure he had some good battles protecting Luke as a child at some point. Darth Revan, although I'd take a single Revan movie if nothing else. Darth Bane, as close to the books as they can get it. Those books were some of the best I've read, even outside of Star Wars. Yoda, as his 900 years of life leave a lot of story space. A Maul movie would be epic, but I feel there is enough time between Rebels and Clone Wars for at least 2 films about Maul. Speaking of Rebels and Clone Wars...can I say I feel we need an Ahsoka film or two to fill in that gap for her. I'd actually probably take that over the Maul films honestly. Would love some movies about the adventures leading to and of the Clone Wars. Qui-Gon, Mace, Yoda, Obi, Anakin, Dooku (Jedi or Sith), Fisto, Koon, Mundi, Secura, Shaak Ti. There are a lot of options when it comes to that era. A Boba Fett stand-alone would be cool, but I would honestly prefer some Jango. Maybe a stand-alone with Sabine, assuming she survives. Definitely want more Mandalorian presence in the films. I really dug Kylo's mask bearing resemblance to Revan's Mandalorian mask. If I had to pick one character for a stand-alone or trilogy though, it would be Vader. Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker is the most interesting character in the entire saga of Star Wars thus far. Kylo Ren/Ben Solo might be giving him a run for his money, in my mind.

Director Krennic's rise to the position of Director. I have recently been re-watching Breaking Bad and feel like a Walter White style Krennic would work very well. Both characters are disliked by their peers, have an unhealthy obsession with power and are constantly living on a knife edge. Plus, although Walter White is fairly unlikeable towards the final seasons of Breaking Bad, we still liked to see him win. I believe it would be the same case with Krennic. Both characters are horrible yet pitiful at the same time so it could be very interesting.
