Question about SWC ???

Do people actually sleep? I'm going to be there over night and I can't imagine myself being about to get a moment's rest.

Honestly.. it's quite hard to sleep. Before you know it it'll be 3AM and you'll still feel awake and hyyyped. People just talk! There will also be a lot of YouTubers and Pod-casters. Last year I was next to 'Steele Wars' in queue (he's the guy who created the 'Your Snoke Theory Sucks' stuff). It was so much fun.

I did see a couple of people take sleeping bags, and ear plugs and they slept.

You'll make friends though mate! Just get talking about theories and you'll be in conversation with groups in no time!

 

I'm going to celebration alone and was worried about losing my spot in line if I had to step out for a second, but EVERYONE I talk to about SWC says people are extremely nice and are willing to hold people's spots in line as long as you're nice.

 

This is turning into an emo thread. Is everyone going alone?

lol yeah maybe and then i found out i wont be able tos tand in line on the 12th because i land at midnight but the first day is my birthday

 

How hard is it to get into the must see panels like Last Jedi and Rebels? Going with some friends this year for the first time and super excited!

 

Apparently you line up the night before, stay locked in the convention center over night, and get a wrist band in the morning.

Then you line up again to get into the panel once you have the wrist band and compete with everyone for a seat.

So, not hard at all...

 

For those who have been to multiple Celebrations, does merchandise from the official store ever show up for sale at future SWCs? Ive never had the chance to go to, and wont until 2019, but there was an exclusive item from Celebration 6 i have tried for years to get, the Blue Harvest Logo Cap, and didnt know if they are only for sale during that specific celebration. Thanks in advance.

 

If you stay overnight, is there a spot to go out and smoke a cigarette and go back in if I have a friend in line? I can go without smoking, but if I'm waiting up all night I may wanna pop out for a couple minutes here and there

yes get there A EARLY AS POSSIBLE. The line closes at 11pm and reopens at 6am so you will be sleeping with your wristband there all night. Message me and maybe we can meet up

I'm gonna try to get there as close to 5 am as I can. I think that I should be able to get a wristband for both days with that method. I've heard that this is the biggest convention in terms of space they've ever had. At the very least I can get into the streaming rooms.

 

What time does the line OPEN on Wednesday?

Is anyone from this thread staying overnight on Wednesday? On Thursday?

If so, does anyone want to line up together?

I intend to stay over Wednesday and Thursday.

Ok. I'll line up with you Thursday. That's good, because I was going to stop all fluid intake at midday to avoid losing my spot to a bathroom break at 3 AM.

 

just wear a diaper also you will literally die if you stop all fluid intake. im still going to the con on thursday but i'll probbaly get like an hour of sleep or just go buy some beer and then uber it to the convention after the bar closes so i can get a drink in on my bday

oh i also bought a mophie juice pack for the convention (those things are crazy expensive :'( ) so if you need to charge your phone mine has two usb outlets
