Featured GAME [Interactive Comic] Old Republic Paint Adventures

Need to address the elephant in the room first: as some of you may have noticed (or not, depending on how you visit this thread), we have ourselves a board dedicated to discussing Old Republic Paint Adventures. I know that some of you have been asking for this, and thanks to the fine staff members here, your requests have been met to the full extent.

What does this mean for the comic? Well, it will probably shift the structure around a bit. You can now make threads for pretty much anything related to the comic here (outside of wagers, I think - those should still be reserved in the gambling part of the Casino). You want to make that Snote theory thread? Go for it. A meme thread? Don't mind if I do. Point is: you've got the tools.

There is a plan to sticky a trifecta of threads to this board: the main one, the General Discussion thread by @DarthBaron, and the yet-to-be introduced Newcomer and Recap thread made by @teline (with the Recap part written by me to help ease any potential new players into the story without having to read through 127 pages of content). Here is the direct link the boards - feel free to make yourselves at home, if you so choose. There's also another thing in store for the comic, but it's not yet ready to be unveiled and I'm not the proper person to unveil it.

Instead of SHOOTING UP this place and THREATENING to GRENADE a room with a GLASS WINDOW leading into LITERALLY SPACE, you decide to do the SMART and CIVIL THING of CIVIL DIPLOMACY by bending the truth to your BENEFIT.

Missy, that's an ANGARAN HANDSHAKE. I know they literally look like CAT TWI'LEK COBRAS, but they're not even a PART of this UNIVERSE.

SISTER: "Uh... why should we care, exactly?"
MISSY: "Because it's greatly important. Haven't you been paying attention?"
SISTER: "Listen, babe, you're not worth paying attention to."
BROTHER: "And I'm so poor that I can't even pay attention to begin with."

It's not an AUTHENTIC OLD REPUBLIC EXPERIENCE without ANCIENT JOKES, right?

MISSY: "You clearly need money, yes?"
BROTHER: "Yes. So much yes."
MISSY: "The money's on Corellia. You really think someone is going to pay you for an easy sweep of Millicent Beach up on Arkanis?"
BROTHER: "I suppose not."



SISTER: "Oh my god right now! Can't you see that she's deceiving you? Corellia is a DEATH ZONE."
MISSY: "My contact in the Imperial army says otherwise."
SISTER: "Who's your contact? A Sith Lord?"
MISSY: "You know it."
SISTER: "I don't believe this crap!"

MISSY: "Look, I never stated that this was to be an easy task. It won't be. Nonetheless, it's a task that pays ridiculously well and you need the money."
BROTHER: "You can't pay a dead man."
MISSY: "You strike me as someone who's sufficiently skilled, and with my contact's help, you won't even be fighting in the worst of the areas."

SISTER: "Sith Lords aren't known for their generosity."
MISSY: "Yeah? Well, this one's different."



THE TAILHEAD SIBS reluctantly agree to your PLAN of CHANGING COURSE because the PLOT NEEDS IT.

You can't ARGUE with that kind of LOGIC.



With the MATTER handled and your WAY to CORELLIA secured, there is just one last thing to DECIDE.

Your LINK to the ASCENDANCY still stands and the TIME has COME for you to CONFRONT IT, lest some UNEXPECTED COMPLICATIONS befall you when you least expect it. In front of you stands a LONG-RANGE COMMUNICATIONS TERMINAL and the three choices below:

You can CONTACT SNOTE OPENLY and with an intent of not BURNING DOWN any BRIDGES you possibly have LEFT from your OLD LIFE. You do not know if RECONCILIATION is POSSIBLE given SNOTE'S ABSOLUTIST WAY of looking at things, but you NEED to know the truth about your FATHER and SNOTE would not LIE to you.

Alternatively, you could CONTACT SNOTE and ASSUME a RESERVED TONE. You haven't spoken to your FORMER BOSS in over a year, and you did ABANDON your POST to briefly JOIN the ENEMY on DANTOOINE that one time. Your FATHER'S FATE would still be revealed, but you would not EDGE any CLOSER towards RECONCILING with your OLD LIFE.

Lastly, you could WALK AWAY from the TERMINAL altogether and keep your FATHER'S FINAL FATE UNCERTAIN, as well as NOT RISK SNOTE'S WRATH raining down on your OUTLAW SHIP should the COMMUNICATION'S SIGNAL be REVERSE-ENGINEERED. This choice might not BRING you the CLOSURE you need, but it is the SAFEST CHOICE by FAR.
