Ahsoka is now a strong possibility, right?

I think an Ahsoka movie has great potential, especially because many important events in her life haven't been covered an exist as artwork or mentioned in books-

    - Her childhood before joining the jedi order when a bounty hunter tried to kidnap her and how Plo Koon rescued her.
    - Her days as a jedi youngling.
    - Some adventures with Obi and Anakin (a great way to tie in the PT and TCW)
-Her life on leaving the jedi order with Nix, and taking on missions for the jedi order.
    - Finding the sith shrine on level 1 of Coruscant and getting hit with force lightning by Sidious.
    - The siege of Mandalore with Bo Katan. Fighting Maul and escaping after order 66.
    - Her time as Fulcrum with the resistance before she meets the ghost crew.

This could easily be done in such a manner that even someone who never watched TCW and Rebels could enjoy the movie and not feel they missed anything.

The reason why I think an Ashoka movie wouldn't be made is because she's not central to the overall saga .

I agree that she is not central to the saga. But the trilogy movies are about the saga and the standalone movies appear to be bolstering the sagas, and are not about the Skywalker clan.

For instance, RO didn't really focus on the OT3 at all but the events were important to understand ANH. The Han Solo movie will probably give us Han and Lando's background and how he saved Chewie and won the MF- again giving support to the saga and while Han is one of the OT3, he isn't a Skywalker.

An Ahsoka movie would be an excellent way to give us more insights about characters like Anakin (and Obi-wan). It would give us more information about the jedi order and their secrets. It is a great way to bring back old beloved characters of the TCW and PT and help us possibly understand the force in a new way since Ahsoka doesn't remain a jedi.

I've never seen "The Clone Wars", so I really don't see the need for an Ahsoka movie.

American actress Rosario Dawson is now creating some buzz in Twitter as potential Ahsoka Tano.
It seems that the original tweet had started as a joke by someone else...

... but then she amplified this on her account.

And then Filoni and the Star Wars official twitter account liked the tweet.
I know it's still too little start a rumor about an Ahsoka film, but to me it just adds some hope. Star Wars movies are built on hope!

    You're missin' out man!

I really want an Ahsoka Tano movie, because she is one of the best non-movie characters in Star Wars. (Heck, one of the best characters in general.) She is a very common fan-favorite and a lot of people at least know who she is. Personally, I feel that Lucasfilm is holding those unfinished/undeveloped TCW stories back for a reason, and an anthology film is a very plausible reason. Plus, with Rosario Dawson expressing interest in the roll, I think an Ahsoka movie is an even greater possibility.

I think a Rebels Anthology film would be so dope. the SW:R is ending around the beginning stages of R1. I would like to see "Rebels: Anthology". Live action of the fate of the crew. I know Disney and Dave Filoni prolly end it in some "hope" kinda way, I still have my thoughts on how it shhould end.(read speculations). Seeing an Ahsoka film would be dope, my favorite SW Character. I only see it being attached to a situation like Rebels. It would be a hard push to have her as a standalone character in a SW Film. I mean I would rather see the likes of a Boba Fett and maybe Obi-Wan(not really a fan of a film cause as of right now he doesnt leave tattoooine and I cant see him fighting for no cause or seeing someone come in and knows about Luke(only Maul/Ezra knows Obi-Wan is alive)

Just seeing Ahsoka and the Rebels crew right in the R1 timeline trying to fight the Empire in a possible Vader match. I still would like to see Kanan meet yoda, Kanan/Ahsoka fight Vader prior to his moment in R1(still weird to me how he goes from 100 to 0) and Ezra go with senator Organa to talk to his "Jedi friend" of whom Ezra knows. With Hera talking in the finale of Rebels S4, I feel like she is talking to someone or a group of resistance fighters who knew about the crew. plus when people say "may the force be with you" most likely something negative happens, either someone dies or gets hurt. will see.

Would have to build a good marketing plan for an Ahsoka film.

I would bet about standalone movie, 'cause it is really difficult to film something about animated character only. Just image a poster "Ahsoka. Star Wars Story" - that is only for fans, no one else would go watch it, well at least it won't hit box offices like R1. If Disney and Lucasfilm are going to make her appearance in live action movie Ahsoka most probably would be a second plan(?) character like Saw or just one of the main, but not the only one. And I like that kind of idea.

I would rely on Ahsoka animated series and I do believe that is how Mr Filoni is going to surprise us next year...

Ahsoka doesn't need to transition to live-action.

Certain characters work best within their respective mediums, and both The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels seem to covering all her events of importance/ significance.

If they could find a young actress to play Ahsoka, a Clone wars film is what I'd want. Picture Ob1, Anakin, Ahsoka, and all the clone wars' villains like Ventress, Grevious, and Sing. That would really bring back the prequels to light.

    NO!

We've gotten a good ending to Ahsoka's story, we don't need anymore.

Not sure how long Ahsoka's species lives but they could introduce her in SW IX to help Rey in some way. She is not Jedi so she can still have been around post order 66. Maybe Snoke has her in a prison or something.

You know she showed up in rebels, fought Vader and apparently was killed right?

You can see she apparently lives...

And we really don`t know how long togruta species live. Would be great only to mention her or her influence somewhere in Ep VIII or IX...

Hopefully someone who isn't emotionally attached to the character will reign Filoni in.

And no, Ahsoka kicking around in the ST era underminds the OT era.

I've said before - one of the best things about the expansion of the Star Wars story is that is now a generational story. This means we get to see the beginning, middle and end to characters lives, not just 1 story. Having characters linger on and on and on and on is how you kill generational stories.

As much as I like Ahsoka, I’d agree that it seems the most significant events in her life were probably covered in Clone Wars and in Rebels. Filoni seems to have something more to say about her, but I doubt she’s going to ever be the main character in a live-action movie. I suppose she could have a cameo in an Obi Wan solo movie. I would like it though, if she was at least mentioned in The Last Jedi or Episode 9. I know the Clone Wars and Rebels are canon, but it’d feel more cemented to me if she was acknowledged in the main saga.

If they're waiting until June and not the end of December to call this ball then the only internal data that could change their perception on where to go would be a clearer picture on Blu Ray and Digital Downloads of R1.
Externally they could be trying to get the stars aligned, literally, to make a film happen.
They could also be waiting to see how Wonder Woman goes. They may even be looking at reactions on Star Trek Discovery.
If that's the case, Ahsoka could very well be what Bob's ghostwriter is working on. It makes a good fit when you think about it. Established character, liked by most camps in the fandom, but also could be seen as a "progressive" option, which makes it palatable to the folks in charge. It would be a total coup over Trek.. because they would be the first to have an alien as their central character.
Seriously Star Trek, 50 years and not one tv show or movie with a Klingon as the central character.. tsk tsk tsk..
