Never going there. Don't want to!
I couldn't think of anything more tacky. Imagine wandering around "Star Wars Land", trying to enjoy all the lovingly recreated attractions of your favourite Star Wars worlds, BUT being accompanied by hoardes of extremely noisy and overexicted spoiled brats, hugely obese people waddling around jamming up ride queues (lines). And all those visitors wearing bad sandals, shorts, Mickey Mouse hats and all gorging themselves on supersized food and drinks. Oh and the park employees overacting as the characters they barely know anything about.
    Ugh! ;)

SKB I think you need to give Disney a little more credit....our family has gone to Disney World (Star Wars area) and also did a 5 day cruise on the Disney Dream, at both Disney did a great job with Star Wars and all the cast members (not park employees) were very knowledgeable. At Disney World we spent HOURs in the Launch Bay - they have a ton of actual props from the movies including just about every light saber used and also full size stormtrooper outfits plus a Millenium Falcon and X-wing (models) used in Ep IV. Outside of the Launch Bay is really fun as they had a squad of 4 New Order Stormtroopers patrolling. If you tried to take pictures with them they would say "sorry, no pictures, on patrol" in perfect stormtrooper radio voice. My oldest son tried the Jedi mind trick (went up to one and passed his two fingers across their face), they stopped him and said he was causing a disturbance! On the Disney Dream our youngest did the Jedi Training and it was very well done - at the end a couple stormtroopers and Imperial Officer come in and they get to use the Jedi mind trick on them, it is well done. I think Disney does a great job with Star Wars attractions at the parks and on their cruises.

odmichael, if the Millenium Falcon mock up is like the one they have on the Disney Dream cruise ship (we cruised in 2016) it will be awesome.....

I just don't want it to be tacky and I want it to incorporate elements from all the movies. I'm very excited for this and can't wait to see how it turns out!

Oh, I've been there a couple times. I'm just saying, in general, that I don't want it to be cheesy or tacky or anything like that. I doubt it will be, but ya never know!

What I want? The further I go into the park, the more immersive and extreme the experience becomes.

so update on what oculd be happening: if you guys look it up, disney has patented tech for something having to do with live people interacting with digital technology, potentially wearing vests. Also. the term "disney" and "star wars" are not be shown at any point in the land. Currently, Disney is trying to figure how to juggle APs and guests at the same time, potentially utilizing an update of MaxPass in California. In my opinion, Disney will utilize Apple's new AR systems using iOS mainly to create interactive digital initiatives with characters. This will go a long ways into at least Anaheim's version for a real-time RPG within the land as they have been trying for. Lastly, Imagineering/the execs have been trying to figure a way to have legit blue milk with alc. although it would not be the same mentality of "WWWD" What Would Walt Do, so that part is up in the air, although I would love to see it as I drank a ton of blue milk at the Hilton in Florida last year. I believe that Disney already has a built in hit on its hands and, seeing the contrusction, they might even have their schedules moved forward

*disclaimer* a lot of this is my educated guess*
