    dodging all the usual "the titles make a sentence" rubbish that appeared after TLJ was announced, surely it has to be something that fits the movie universe going forward, like The New Order referencing both the light and dark elements at play in the ST.

    That said, would they use 'new' again or is there something that will happen in VIII which will given a more action orientated title (e.g. where trilogy conclusions have been Revenge... and Return... will there be something like Rise in there somehow??

    Whatever, we've only got to wait about 2yrs to find out ;)

    I'm liking this, its not obvious to the plot.

    Although I'd quite like the idea if they run off the tongue after each other for example;

    7 - The Force Awakens
    8 - The Last Jedi
    9 - In An Age of Darkness / Before The Rising Darkness

    Although this has the possibility of sounding silly or ridiculed.

    I also like the title 'Journey To The Unknown' that plays on the emphasis they are putting on the unknown regions in the other cannon materials.

    Too bad you didn't predict this for VIII - you were pretty close! :)

    Since the title of Episode VIII appeared in the opening crawl for VII, I bet that when VIII comes out, a lot of people will try to find a title for IX in its crawl. But my guess is that the same thing probably won't happen again.

    Episode IX: Darkside of the Light

    The new Jedi will start using aspects of the dark side in their training, seeing the benifits and results and ultimately finding victory....
    But by doing so, they leave themselves vulnerable to the dark side seduction and setting up a new trilogy story arc because of it.

    It will be something "of the Force" OT at is its core was about the Jedi and how they had supposedly disappeared and about Luke bringing the Jedi back after his father and the Emperor destroyed them (hasn't worked out so far..). The PT was about the threat of the Sith and the Jedi Orders failure to detect and eliminate the threat so the last movie was called Revenge of the Sith. This trilogy seems to be about the Force and what will happen with the Force who uses it how its used and how it affects the lives of those who are FS who are not those who believe and those who do not. For that reason I think Episode IX will be something the Force.

    Rise of the Force
    Balance of the Force
    Paths of the Force
    Shadows of the Force
    Fate of the Force
    Destiny of the Force

    You get the idea something along those lines.

    Rise of the Light has been suggested. It fits Snoke's phrasing.

    If Skywalker (The Last Jedi) returns new Jedi will rise.

    I like this to same idea. It fits Kylo's statement "I feel it again the call to the light."

    difficult to guess title names without knowing which way disney/LF are heading after this trilogy.

    I suspect that they will open it all up at the end of 9, and show us that they will in fact be doing episodes 10-12.

    with that in mind, i will guess that the Skywalker story is concluded in TLJ (regardless of whether or not any Skywalkers survive) and that the title of IX will be in reference to where they are heading.

    to pinch a title that we thought was to be used for VII...
