Wow, how awful. I'm a fan of his and he seems like a really nice guy, and I think it speaks volumes about his personal character that he's decided to take a break from Hollywood to spend some time with his family. No parent deserves to have that happen to them at any age. :(

Hate to hear that about Snyder's hardship. I love his DC movies and Watchmen remains one of my favorite films.

On an unrelated note, I just applied a few updates to the poll.

Big fan here as well - so sad for that family. The important thing is that the Snyder family begin the healing process. I am happy to see that PP will be in Whedon's very capable hands.

Need to throw in an option for Batgirl. I am excited to see Joss play around in the DCEU.

I switched "Other" for Batgirl, as I presume that's what you voted for.

Wonder what the odds are that a solo Nightwing gets made? I put it at 30% lol.

I remember reading somewhere that some fairly accomplished director was working on a Nightwing movie concept with plans to one day pitch it to Warner/DC. I can't remember which director and I have not heard anything about it in a while.

That is the project I am referring too. Just seems like one of those things that get announced but never gets beyond that like Gambit.

I think they'll do it if they want to get some low-budget DCEU installments out there, but as of right now I don't see it as being high priority. I'm thinking that the WB/AT&T merger is going to influence future announcements for what they have planned beyond The Batman in 2019, and the overall schedule for the DCEU has been pretty fluid.

But in any case, I think it has a better chance of being made than Gambit does. Or Black Cat/Silver Sable, for that matter.

What are you talking about? Everyone is dying to see the C-List Catwoman, D-List Black Widow tie-in movie with no actual tie-ins to their actual source comic. ;)

What's odd is that I actually liked the idea that they had for it when it was a part of the planned TASM-verse - a movie about how a group of B-list heroes help the A-list hero (who appears in a small but meaningful supporting role) save the day. That Sony is still intent on making it, without the involvement of Spider-Man (who was crucial to that planned movie's plot), is idiotic.

Am I the only one sitting here in awe (and a little in shock) that we are finally on the verge of a live-action Wonder Woman movie? I know(and appreciate) that they had to wait for the tech to be able to do it right, but it still feels long overdue. WW is not my most anticipated movie this year. Obviously TLJ and Justice League are 1 and 2. But I am SO EXCITED to see WW kick a$$ in a couple weeks.

I am so excited to see it as well, I was never a huge fan growing up of Wonder Womab but Gal's portrayal and the recent DC Rebirth interpretation of her has gotten me into a Wonder Woman fanboy.

Zack Snyder went back to work after a two-week break in post-production before realizing how heavily his daughter's death affected his ability to work. That's why this announcement came months later.

I feel like Joss Whedon is a good person to handle the reshoots and should help give the movie more of a connection to casual audiences. They obviously won't say how much they actually reshoot, but I think he can help out with the character bits of the story.
