I've been building and reviewing the Bandai Star Wars kits for a while. I'm new to this forum, so I might as well start a thread here.
This is the list of the newest kits offered by Bandai. http://bandai-hobby.net/sw/jp/schedule/index.html

I've really gotten behind on some of the newer kits, but I'll keep getting them. If anyone has any questions comments, or their own review, please feel free to share.

    Hey Josh,

New here myself. I started collecting the Rivell models last year and just started with the Bandai models. So far I just have the Y wing but I will likely have most of this years line by the end of the year. The level of detail on the Y wing is crazy and that is without any paint or battle washing.

Yeah the Y-wing is my absolute favorite of all the kits. It has a ton of detail. You don't need to paint it, and I really like the removable engine cones, that was a neat touch.
I'd say my top 5 favorite kits are:
    1) Y-wing
    2) C-3PO
    3) AT-ST
    4) R2&R5
    5) Any of the TIE fighters (TIE, TIEx1, interceptor)
    Honorable mention Stormtrooper.
I ordered the AT-AT finally, so I'll have a review of that this weekend perhapse.

I can't get enough of these kits. I really hope they keep making kits for many many years. I would love for them to make:
    1/72 TIE bomber
    1/72 B-wing
    1/144 imperial shuttle
    1/350 rebel transport
A Tantive IV in some scale 1/500 or something.
    Death Star of some kind.
    Imperial probe droid 1/12.
    Hey, I can dream.

This is my cube at work. Ask me anything about any of the models or anything else up there. All my good stuff is stored in the garage at home in big plastic tubs.

Edit: This is actually about 6 months old. There have been more added.

I got my Bandai AT-AT today. It's 1/144 scale. Im not sure of the parts count, but it has to be at least 150 parts. Most of the parts are cast in light grey plastic, including the driver figures (2x, seated), which I would have prefered them to cast in white, with the Hoth display base. It comes with the clear red visor, and laser effects.

The instructions are in both English and Japanese. They just started offering the instructions in English a few months ago, before it wasn't hard using the Japanese instructions because of the great illustrations, but there were some commands that you really couldn't understand.
The only decals it has are for the pilots helmets, along with 3 silhouettes for the visor.
So I'll build this over the weekend, it ought to be a fantastic model.

I can't quite tell by the images. How does the head and neck connect the body? IS it using a rubber band like the model I have at home on which the rubber band broke and Now my ATAT is headless.

Yeah I'm having trouble attaching files. No it doesnt have a rubber band. Its hard to describe, it's a large peg, with a joint that allows you to bend the head up to pose the walker in a collapsed position. Other than that it doesn't have very good range of motion. Which is surprising, usually these kits have a full range of motion. It does have side to side range, but not up and down.

I myself have built four of these models, Darth Vaders Tie Fighter, the X-Wing, Darth Vader himself, and the AT-AT. These are fantastic models with amazing details.
I am in the process of building sets for these models and just taking my time, have more details to finish on them but they look outstanding.
I need to transfer some pictures from my phone to computer then I will try to upload them on here. I plane on the Y-Wing and something else next after I finish my newest model the Revell Rogue One Star Destroyer I just got today. I plan on adding Fiber Optic lights to this, should be fun.

Amazon has a great selection of these models at a very reasonable costs. I have gotten everything Star Wars from there over the last 3 years. If you have Prime, check it out. Some of the models come from Japan. Most of the Bandai stuff does.

That's the Zvezda Star Destroyer, that Revell has repackaged? I've been wanting that for a while, but I don't have the patience for drilling 1500 holes and running fiber optics. Sounds really awesome though.

Yeah I usually get mine from Amazon prime. Sometimes you can get them for below MSRP. Although I have to get those mini kits direct from Japan the markup on Amazon is way too high.

Yeah if. I wasn't having computer problems I'd do a proper review. But this AT-AT kit is the absolute best AT-AT kit ever made. Keep in mind it is only about 6.5 inches tall and long. You will not be disappointed. This kit only took me about 3 hours without painting to construct. I would recommend painting, but, I just left mine alone, so I can play around with it, because it has some cool options.

Bandai should be releasing their TLJ lineup about the same time as Hasbro, Sept. 1, or so. The Silencer better be on there that thing is sweet.

The Star Destroyer is the Revell snap tight intended to be a toy. I read the reviews and all said it had crazy detail for a model. The only thing is the lights it comes with only stay on for about 20 seconds and the sound is terrible. I will change those. it also has 3 fold out legs for the stand that look funny when up but I will deal with that. The best thing is it was only $24.00 and the total length is about 16" long. It will take some modification but at that price I took the chance. IMG_0771.JPG IMG_0772.JPG IMG_0771.JPG IMG_0772.JPG IMG_0771.JPG IMG_0772.JPG IMG_0773.JPG IMG_0774.JPG IMG_0775.JPG

Here are some of my other projects, all are a work in progress. The AT-AT will need repainting since I made a snow diorama. IMG_0746.JPG IMG_0744.JPG

Wow that does look good for a snap tite. I would have never guessed. I might get that instead of the Zvezda one.
    That AT-AT Dio looks awesome!

Thanks, yes the Star Destroyer is worth it, looks great. When I finish my AT-AT model I will post more pictures. It just takes me a while with all my medical crap I'm going through right now. :)
