1st - Welcome to The Cantina! I'm betting you're going to fit in here nicely.

I can very much relate - with different circumstances. Not the case now, but I grew up poor and did not even know what Star Wars was until about late '80 to early '81. I grew up on Star Trek(TOS) reruns as well. I'm still a Trekkie, but likewise, right now SW is king.

Agree 100% - except I would use the word "spirituality" rather than "faith". But it's probably a gray area.

How about posting a pic of the "boys"? Mine is not into SW or Sci-Fi. She'd much rather spend her time chasing lizards

 

Hello to all, this looks to be a fantastic site to share opinions and information and I'm excited to dive in.
I have been a huge Star Wars fan from the day the first movie came out. I love any and all things to do
with Star Wars, I like the story and I'm always looking for new info from books,comics,tv shows, and from
other people. My theory is everyone has an opinion and I may not always agree, but I respect it and try
to learn new things from them. It will be nice to post mine and share what I know or think, and not have
a bunch of trolls or internet tough guys derail a discussion that true fans want to be in.
Well not hard to tell but my favorite character is Darth Vader, as a kid I just loved this guy from the first
movie and still do to this day. See you guys in the forums, Darth Raybo.

Hi everyone! Long time reader of SWNN here. Hailing from Poland. I've been looking for a place to discuss all things Star Wars for a while. I've tried Jedi Council Forums, but it's just too overwhelming. The Cantina seems much more cosy and the discussions here look great. I hope I'll settle in.

I got into Star Wars by the age of 5. That was in the late 90s - around the release of Special Editions. My earliest Star Wars memories are quite vague, so I don't know how exactly I was introduced to it. Sounds cliche, but it genuinely feels like it's been with me forever. I love all 8 films and there's no way I could figure out the ranking. If I had to pick my favourites, I would say TESB and RotS. I have a sneaking suspicion that The Last Jedi might be the best one yet... I'm dying to find out.

Star Wars aside, my main hobby is music. I love composing and it's actually something I'd like to do professionally (working in the video game industry would be great). It's really hard to break through, though, so there's a long road ahead of me if I'm to succeed.

Hey everyone. Saw the cool introduction posts and I want in on some of the action. I've loved SW for as long as I can remeber but I've been digging into the EU for about two years. I find myself enjoying legends and canon equally although there are some things I dislike in both. In addition for my love of SW, I do have a passion for film in general. I could talk about movies all day haha. So I guess I'm a film geek.

Hey everyone! This is officially my first forum ever, but it's the perfect place to start because it's all about Star Wars. I've been a lover of Star Wars my entire life. I've collected the toys and action figures since I was little, played all the games, read most of the EU and all of the new canon books (though the EU is far more exciting and original), seen the movies hundreds of times, and love to annoyingly quote them all. I can talk above all things Star Wars all day and hope to get into some of the action in the Cantina. Maybe unload on a few Rodians while I'm at it.

 

Good to see another fan in my age group. Welcome, this is a great place with many friendly posters and great Star Wars post. You will enjoy your time here.
