I'll tell you what I actually agree with ronin :eek: Ashoka is just such a fan fave they'll never end her story. In despite of what is good for the overall story.

Han was already the new Obi-Wan. In early drafts Obi-Wan and Han were the same character. He was a former Jedi who became a smuggler. Its not that Han used the force like Obi but he did introduce the young heroes to a larger world.

Luke will either be the new Yoda or subvert our expectations of him being the new Yoda. Mark Hamill always spoke about the Jedi like wizards and he compared Obi-Wan to Merlin. So I expect Luke will channel that.

I like Ahsoka and think she is a good character but I'd say there is a zero percent chance she is TLJ. I do think we still might see her in other forms of canon but it won't be inTLJ

They are going to have to add her to a movie soon though. Either somewhere In this trilogy or th next or just make a stand-alone movie about her which would be success.

I disagree. She is Filoni's baby and she should remain in his worlds. Before someone reacts, Ahsoka is one of my most favorite characters in the entire Star Wars Mythos. I just think that she should remain in that animated world.

I would love to see Ahsoka make a cinematic appearance, but I doubt it will be in TLJ. It makes the most sense to have her appear in an Obi-Wan film. In TLJ she would, to most audiences, seem to come out of left field. "A Jedi trainee of Anakin? What?!" You wouldn't just have to explain her identity, but also where the hell she was during the whole OT, and why Obi-Wan and Yoda never mentioned her if she was still around...

In my opinion Obi-Wam and Yoda don’t have to tell Luke anything about her since she left the path of a Jedi.

Yes, why would they want Luke to run off partly trained instead of finding someone who could train him AND leia more and then help him during the fight?

First, the movie would be a success because it had Star Wars in the title

Second, the problem with Ashoka being the lead of or in a movie is the same with jacen and jania - there is to much baggage. The character had a long and complicated backstory - so either you respect and honor that and make a movie that doesn't appeal to casual fans or is very exposition heavy OR you ignore it, in which case are you making an Ashoka movie?

This is why they scraped legends - to get a clean slate. But a character like ahsoka doesn't have a clean slate

No, she most likely won't be in TLJ. Unless force ghost Anakin appears and mentions her, which is even more unlikely.

Also, whatever troll's giving out these dislikes and other negative ratings needs to get a life!

I don't think that she has anything to do with the sequel trilogy, her story has to end in Rebels, as well as Kanan's and Ezra's, so that there are no plot holes left for the OT...

I wouldn't be too surprised if she shows up in at least one action film. Disney is giving themselves a big playground to work with, and Ahsoka is becoming pretty prominent in it.

As to when it could be... we'll just have to see Rebels S4 to see what's likely.

As to whether or not it'll be good... well, I don't think anyone can really say right now. But I like Ahsoka, so I'd be excited about it.

In my opinion I would guess that Ahsoka will have a live action appearance at some point in time. I really think it's a shoe in. But I sincerely doubt her live action introduction will be in an episode of the main saga. I would say it's much more likely that it will be a stand alone film about an ex-Jedi who left the order during the Clone Wars. And that's all the explanation we will get in the film. Those of us who watch TCW will know who she is and will be chuffed. The majority of cinema goers that don't watch TCW will be happy for a female lead ex-Jedi without the need to even know her full history because to them, "film watchers only", I think it'd be a bit much to just casually drop in that she was Anakin's Padawan when they have never seen nor heard of her throughout the PT and OT.

Hope I make sense there. I understand what I mean...:p

    Well...

They DON'T need Ahsoka in TLJ.

    And even worst than that.

Adding another Jedi master in the mix would only diminish the relevancy AND the urgency for Rey to complete her story arc in the ST.

I think the whole... Luke doesn't want to get drawn back to war will serve as pushing prematuraly Rey into battle (like Luke in ESB).

    You're right.
But she could stand up against Kylo and Snoke, leaving young Rey to complete her training and stay on the backburner.

I DO hope that we get an answer. Watching her walk off like a broken warrior into that temple was haunting.

    I really don't get the she's not a Jedi.

I understand that she "left the order" and spoke about "getting revenge" over Anakin Skywalker but that is way to simplistic a take of her character.

Lets look at the Revenge line. Yes she speaks about getting revenge but she says it in banter to literally the person she is avenging. And her remark that she is no Jedi simply implies she is not bound to the order. For instance there are Buddists that are not bound as monks but they still are Buudists. So she may have left the order but some seem to be so set on having a middle way Force User or someone who uses the dark side as well as the light.

Second of all the characters Ahsoka is the one who remained un-jaded or tainted by the CW. Yoda saw the problems but owned them and hope to fix the problems if and when peace ever came. His wisdom suggested pragmatism. When speaking with Mace about being honest about the Jedi's ability to sense the future and communine with the Force being diminishing Yoda commented "if revealed this is increase our enemies will." He and Mace made a call to protect the order that compromised its integrity. Fast forward to Ahsoka's trial. Her disillusionment with the jedi was that they were compromising principal. Ahsoka is not a Jedi because she is even more idealistic than the jedi. She serves the Force and the light side more faithfully.
