I like the prequels because they were the new Star Wars of my youth (I'm 27 now). I've been a fan of the OT and for me it was just perfect we were getting a Darth Vader backstory. At the time, I didn't notice what today I can clearly see is sometimes cringeworthy dialogue (but hey, at least this gave us memes) so I was blown away. It obviously introduced Star Wars to newer ways of movie production (CGI). Say what you will, but the prequels DID beautifully show the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker, the fight of internal forces contradicting each other. That's something to behold, now that I'm an adult

I like almost everything in the prequels, and never understood people's passionate hate toward them. But then, I never treated the originals like sacred relics, either. I'm a second-generation fan, growing up with the unaltered OT on VHS, then the Special Editions hit when I was 16.

I love Obi and palpatine. That opera scene is probably one of the best star wars scenes!

Ian McDiarmid was perfect in all three films. You really get an evil vibe from him and you believe he's a sith lord. Considering the some of the dialogue he had to deliver, I'd say he did a pretty great job.

I like the special effects and nothing else.

Anakin was the worst part of everything... it made no sense, his emotions didn't make sense. Almost no character development, lots of fight scenes instead.

Agree on Obi-Wan. I don't think Ewan McGregor gets enough credit for how well he played that role, especially in ROTS.

"You were right about one thing master. The negotiations were short."

Speaking of that phrase - also REALLY loved Liam Neeson's Qui-Gon Jinn. He got stuck with some of Lucas worst lines of dialogue. And yet he still handled them pretty well.

Generally speaking - I LOVE the prequels. They have plenty of flaws, but there are some great aspects to them as well.

I wasn't a big fan of The Phantom Menace but Attack of the Clones was bland.

However Revenge of the Sith was actually a really good film apart from the romance

Plus seeing Anikain turn to Vader was really cool as i love Darth Vader
