So as we all know, Luke is now (apparently) the last Jedi, as the rest have either been killed or died. Now we'll remember that Yoda told Luke to "pass along what you have learned", and he made the attempt to revive the order but was betrayed by Ben.

Personally, I think he was ill-prepared to start the new-order as his training (IMO) was incomplete and basically became a Jedi by default, BUT...

...we all know that Star Wars is synonymous with "Jedi", "Sith", and Skywalker" and to me it would seem foolish for LFL to just write-off the Jedi and Sith, but there seems to be an upcoming problem:

Luke seems to have ZERO interest in training anyone...EVER to become a Jedi, and Rey (if she's eventually trained) may even be less prepared than Luke was initially to take on the task...so what's going to happen?

In my own world of logic, the Jedi Order must return (as will the Sith), but HOW are we going to get more Jedi if the qualified trainer(s) are either unwilling or inexperienced?? Any thoughts on how this is going to happen?

Well, I believe there is some written or stored knowledge hidden in the galaxy on the techniques utilized in becoming a Jedi, either at a temple (like on Ach-To or Coruscant) or at a military base (like Scarif). But even that being said, I agree in that Luke does not have enough material and drive to continue the Jedi order. That's why I believe in Episode 8 a new order will arise that are not necessarily Jedi, but are a combination of past teachings and new ideas.

It's similar I think to the last person who speaks a certain language. Even if you try to teach everything you know to a pupil, there is still a lot you're missing, and as the teachings continue more is lost in translation. Therefore there would be little motivation to attempt to save something that will one way or another be lost.

It sounds bleak, but as much as many would like to see the Jedi return (myself included), the future seems vague and in decline.

The correlation to language evolution is spot on, and I agree that the SW Jedi future seems bleak. I think that we'll see how this unfolds in the next trilogy...and who takes the lead.
