Oh man, I hope you enjoy! I think most of them involved a minor character from a random scene in one of the OT movies, so it was really enjoyable learning more about some of those background characters. For example, one was about Momaw Nadon, aka "Hammerhead" from the Mos Eisley Cantina.

If you give them a shot, let me know what you think!

I was in a bookstore yesterday before work and they had the Bounty Hunter book (the one I was hoping to start with anyway) so I grabbed a copy. I work nights and just got off but after I wake up later today (because today starts my weekend) I plan on jumping into it.

With twenty or so years of fairly intensive involvement with the novels of the old EU, I can definitively say that the Han Solo Trilogy by Ann C. Crispin (God rest her soul) is my favorite. They were among the first EU novels I read when I originally got into it as a 13/14 year old kid. At such a formative age, reading about how Han Solo came to be who he was in the movies made me relate to the character more than I've ever related to almost anything else in fiction.

I've gotta say Zahn's Thrawn trilogy is my favourite work from the old EU. hyped for the new novel.

I have been pretty busy lately and haven't had much time to read, so I just now finished Tales Of The Bounty Hunters and I really enjoyed it. The IG-88 one was probably my favorite, it got a little out there but was a lot of fun. 4-LOM and Zuckuss had a good story too. Dengar's was my least favorite. Not sure what to think of the Boba Fett one. It obviously doesn't fit in with the post-PT canon, which is fine with me as I ignore the Boba/Jango thing in my head canon anyway, but I still wasn't all that crazy about the characterization. The climax was great though. Thanks for the tip. I'll probably read the others sometime but Thrawn came in the mail the other day and I've got to get into that.

I love Kenobi and Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader. Both are really good post-ROTS books. To be fair, I haven't read that many Legends books, but I plan to read more and more. In fact, I'm picking up the Thrawn trilogy and Outbound Flight this weekend. I also plan on reading Republic Commandos and Shadows of the Empire, plus the Darth Bane trilogy and the Old Republic books at some point. I guess what I'm sayin' is... "Anybody got some recommendations?"

Book: I always liked Vector Prime a lot. Pretty intense- you know what I'm talking about, if you've read it. I also really liked the first Young Jedi Knights book a lot. It seems silly now, but it was kind of cool back in the day, seeing such a relatively innocuous story play out in the Star Wars Universe ( an Imperial crash-landed pilot trying to rebuild his TIE)
Comic: Unfortunately, I didn't really read any EU comics
Game: KOTOR, obviously. Shadows of the Empire is a very close second.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Thrawn trilogy but out of the three my favorite is Dark Force Rising. And as far as video games go, Battlefront 2 takes the cake.

I really enjoyed the Dark Times comic, and the "Bobba Fett is dead" comic has a special place in my heart.

I've read only one legends book, and it's so long ago that don't remember the title. I think it was something like "a wild planet", or "a wild storm" or something

I love the Legend anthologies Tales of the Mos Eisley Cantina, Bounty hunters, New Republic, Empire, from Jabba's Palace, etc... You get a taste from most every Star Wars Author. T. Zahn wrote a tale of the Tonnika Sisters being spies which I'll never forget. I, Jedi from M. A. Stackpole, X-wing books Aaron Allston(RIP), and A.C. Crispin's Han Solo trilogy which she borrowed some of Han's origin from the classic Dicken's tale Oliver Twist. I also enjoyed Dark Journey, a tale focused on Jaina Solo.
The Legends books are still relevant, writers of the new standalone film, SOLO borrowed from Crispin's tale to develop Woody Harrelson's character, Han's mentor. I look forward to SOLO.

why did you say RIP about michael stackpole, he's not dead. Is it just because he's not writing new canon?

Forgive me, I meant Aaron Allston (RIP). they both wrote Rogue Squadron/ X-wing books (thats where I got my name from) and I tend to mix them up. I do remember Allston was the funny one. He always added a bit of humor in his books. I was sad to hear he had passed.

Big fan of Dark Horse's Star Wars: Legacy. That series was such a great love letter to the PT, OT, and all the great Legends comics and novels that came before. Also, Dark Horse's Star Wars: Clone Wars was pretty great, adding so much more depth to Count Dooku and Quinlan Vos, as well as providing great new characters like Tholme, A'Sharad Hett, and T'ra Saa.

I also really enjoyed Star War Tales, especially anything involving Tag and Bink. Can't wait to see those two in Solo: A Star Wars Story!

John Jackson Miller's Kenobi is by far my favorite, but I haven't read the Thrawn Trilogy yet (it's on my list). I do have a hankering to reread the Jedi Apprentice series again (I read it when I was in elementary school, but I don't remember ANYTHING about it other than Siri Tachi and her purple lightsaber).

Wow, I thought Michael Stackpole was dead from reading this thread.
    Glad that's not the case.
