    • Don't be overly aggressive, the game can and will punish you for rushing ahead of your team.
    • Strength in numbers, if the numbers aren't in your favor fall back.
    • Always aim for the head when able, you'll win more 1 on 1 gunfights.
    • Stay away from choke points, if possible.
    • Tap firing, in some cases, will help you land long range shots when using any automatic weapons.
    • Thermal Detonators are *always* useful, do not replace it with any other star card. If you have the enhanced TD star card, use it.
    • Do not use the Slug Scattergun star card. It fires a single slug, the accuracy and damage of which is unreliable.
    • Currently one of the most useful star cards is the Supercharged Sentry Gun star card. It increases the damage of the sentry gun per shot, and gives it explosive rounds to boot. There is literally no reason to not use it.
    • The heavy's shield ability is a must have, and shouldn't be replaced.
    • The officer is best played in a support role. Don't be that guy and just buff yourself.
    • Flash grenades are evil, and should be used.
    • The specialist has the lowest health of any of the 4 classes, and will usually die pretty quickly.
    • The specialist also has the only unlockable weapon in the game capable of a OHK (must be a headshot). By this point, a lot of people have unlocked it. If you're being sniped at, take no chances and get to cover.
    • When using space craft of any kind (fighter, interceptor, bomber), do not rely on the lead indicator to know when to start shooting. The second an enemy pops up in red, start shooting in their general direction. There are no drop mechanics for the rounds fired from ships because sci-fi lasers.
    • Interceptors will out turn fighters or bombers. Fighters will out turn bombers, but, usually, not interceptors. Bombers will, in most cases, out turn no one.
    • Bombers are slower but are still obscenely effective at destroying other ships, and has the benefit of being a tank. Bombers are also the ship that's best suited for destroying objectives.
    • Interceptors are usually armed to the teeth, are very fast, and turn incredibly well. However they also have a lower health pool.
    • Fighters are the sort of jack of all trades, master of none. Moderate armament, speed, and health.
    • Just about all the Heroes are viable, except Iden. Don't use Iden unless you just really want to.
    • Offensive Heroes (Excel at sheer DPS output, compliment aggressive playstyles) - Darth Maul, Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren, Rey
    • Tank Heroes (Have large health pools that allow them to sponge a lot of punishment before going down) - Captain Phasma, Darth Vader, Chewbacca (also a good Offensive choice as well)
    • Ranged Heroes (Excel at a distance, suffer in close quarters) - Iden Versio, Lando Calrissian, Bossk, Boba Fett, Han Solo
    • Support Heroes (Best used in a supporting role, are absolutely dangerous when with a group) - Princess Leia Organa, Finn, Yoda, Emperor Palpatine
    • The fastest, and easiest way, to get battle points is in vehicles.
    • the AAT and AT-ST are the most lethal ground vehicles in the game. If you see them, avoid them unless you're confident you can destroy it.
    • The T-47 Airspeeder's blaster cannons will absolutely destroy infantry, but are ineffective against other vehicles.
    • The fastest way to kill an open top vehicle (AT-RT, Land speeders, speeder bikes) is to shoot the exposed pilot.
    • Easiest way to identify enemy infantry from the air is to observe blaster fire. Any blaster fire that isn't coming from a blue dot (default friendly color) is an enemy.
I've probably forgotten something, but this should keep you plenty busy. :p

Am I the only one who thinks Kylo Ren is freaking weak ?

He dies incredible fast and does no damage at all, especially compared to his counterpart Rey.

Okay so the values indicated in that article are off. The Battle Point values vary depending on the map, rather than each Hero/Villain having fixed BP values at all times.

So: Prequel maps will have Prequel Heroes/Villians discounted at 6,000 BP while everyone else is 8,000, Original Trilogy maps will have OT Heroes/Villians (including Iden) discounted at 6,000 while everyone else is 8,000, and Sequel maps will have Sequel Heroes/Villians discounted for 6,000 while the rest are 8,000.

This also applies to Starfighter Assault, though I do not remember the exact value for these.

Is there any way we can get the alternate outfits for Rey and Kylo Ren without pre-ordering the game?

I'm very curious what the frequency of seasons is going to be. Expected something like one per quarter of the year, but I would obviously love to get DLC more often.

So without warning Dennis Brännvall, current design director for Battlefront II, went on a tweeting frenzy today.

    Regarding "tweaking" the progression system:

    On communication:

    Information on customization coming "soon":

Supercharged Sentry is probably going to get nerfed:

Wookiees are getting nerfed (thank the Maker):

    Rolling/Dodging getting adjusted:

    Teasing season 2:

Worth noting here is the new banner image and a number of his responses are directly quoting Obi-wan from the prequels. Could be a coincidence, could be that the next season will be prequel themed, as many, including myself, have theorized.

There's more that someone nicely compiled on r/StarWarsBattlefront.

Still waiting on offline skirmish. Nearly forgot I owned this game.

Surely when you make a sequel you'd just take all the good stuff in the original and make more of it and make it better... not take it out? I'd have been relatively happy with the original if the DLC maps had been released for skirmish play. As it stands, I'll never get to play Cloud City and Scarif enough to learn the maps for those few dreadful times I decide to play online.

Haven't played BF2 since the day the second campaign mode was released. Played it for like an hour and got bored.

I just want to play all the big Galactic Assault levels with vehicles in offline mode. Preferably letting me choose my character. That's all.

Or imagine this... have a big "walker assault" style battle that's part of the campaign! You know, a real battle on a huge map, but one that actually has good storyline value? Instead they're all just corridor levels in one-player that only ever seem to involve "go from A to B and kill everything. Defend B from waves of enemies until everything's dead. Move from B to C and kill everything. Defend C..." and repeat until bored or you've completed the game.

    100% this.

I actually enjoy playing the skirmish from the first game, but there are so few maps. Adding in the DLC (including the Death Star one) would've been amazing.

And I'd gladly shell out 60 bucks for offline skirmish on BFII's maps. As is, I don't really have any reason to get this game, even on sale.
