A Dooku/Qui-Gon spin-off set way back when Qui-Gon was his Padawan and a rising knight in the Order would be neat. So would a Yoda/Dooku spin off.

I think a Ben Solo film showing his adventures and the obstacles he had to overcome before turning to Snoke would be cool. They already have an actor for young Ben. Show what the universe was like before the First Order

Why can't Disney acknowledge what the fans really want?

    DARTH VADER

    PLEASE!!

Some great material in the EU they can go off. Just read a graphic novel series about Darth and it was excellent. People went nuts over Rogue one because it have 5 minutes of Vader. Hopefully Disney is paying attention and if they like money (and the mouse just loves it) there is boatloads at the end of that rainbow..

I have no special character for a new stand alone movie in my mind - and maybe after a Han Solo and an Obi-Wan movie it wouldn't be the worst idea to come up with a new character or group of characters like in RO - but I have one wish for the next anthologies ad/or the whole "star wars strategie" of Disney: Please try to stop the OT-fixation that the last three movies and the next one or two anthologies display.

After an OT-remake, an OT-Prequel, a sequel to the OT-remake with OT-characters having better scenes than the new ones, and two storys about other OT-characters that nobody needs (of course, I used a pointed formulation), I just want to see something different. I would love it to see also parts of the PT-era in the next stand-alones. Call me crazy, but in my opinion, a Jar-Jar-story would be more urgent than a movie about Yoda's youngling days...

And: There is even more than the OT and PT or the ST. I would love it to see something totally new and unexpected in a stand alone movie, maybe (well, now it's getting REALLY crazy) even without any cameo...

I definitely agree with the Thrawn sentiment. He is an amazing. Definitely my favourite non-movie character. I love his sophistication and learning his reasoning and viewpoint, as well as the mystery around his motivations. The only reason I don't want him to have a stand-alone film is that I want the next trilogy to be around him.

I voted for the clones (Clonetroopers or Stormies would be a great choice). I enjoyed Timothy Zahn's Allegiance, but also Karen Traviss' Republic Commando novels. In my opinion, we don't see or read much about these soldiers. The Clone Wars series went a good way showing more troopers, but a stand-alone-film, without that big focus on Jedi, Sith or the force could be outstanding. The potential of them is really underrated.

When it comes to individuals, I would go with Thrawn. He's just brilliant.

Gonna cheat here. I would like them to get away from stand alone films just based on characters. I want to see more like Rogue One, where the film centers around a story concept rather than an existing character. You're more likely to get better movies if you start with good stories rather than "oh, people like this character, let's come up with something for him/her to do."

Good point. I think LFL are starting to get more bold with the films, and hope this will continue. TLJ, say what you will, took some big chances. And the Han Solo film itself is a pretty ballsy choice, I think. They know very well that the character is so closely associated with Harrison Ford's performance that there would be a huge risk of fan outcry, and thus bad press, with this film. I guess they decided to make a big bet that it could be pulled off. Maybe they'll get even more daring if Solo is a big financial success like TLJ has been, and push further in the direction of films that don't center around pre-existing characters. R1 propped itself up with appearances from Vader, Tarkin, and Leia: maybe LFL are close to weaning themselves off of the Lucas-era stories and characters. RJ's trilogy is a sign that they at least want to do so.

Better yet, star wars behind the music, the bands of tattooine. They can have a Beatles/ stones dynamic between max rebo and figrin d'an. They can have sy snootles involved in tabloid type relationships like her history with ziro (who I refuse to believe is straight), maybe a yoko situation with the backup singer boba fett hits on, and tons of motley crue level drinking and abuse of spice and death sticks. Yes, this also paves the way for the death sticks guy, maybe his own movie down the road.

Since an Obi-Wan film is basically guaranteed this point, I voted for Yoda instead.

I want to see Yoda in his younger years as a Jedi Knight, before he became the wise and beloved master we know from the main saga. I want to see him being curious, impatient, reckless and foolish. Let's make him just below 100 years old in the film, before he started to teach Jedi himself.

I think Boba fett would be amazing. Assuming he survived the Sarlacc off course. I also think a snoke film would be interesting. SPOILER ALERT because he died in the Last Jedi. We probably won't be hearing to much about ever again.

Do they have the Sunrider issue figured out?
If so, I want a Vima Sunrider film.
If not, I want a Dr. Aphra movie. Dr. Chelli Lona Aphra, not her father, who is also Dr. Aphra.

For a while I really wanted to see a Boba Fett movie, but not as much now given the fact that we already know his origins given the prequels.

I think I'd rather see a take on Dr Aphra though, as long as it's different enough in tone from Solo (thinking Indiana Jones in Space); her droids would be a refreshing switch on droids being helpful/useful and not downright psychotic. Plus, another excuse for a Vader cameo too.

Failing that, Thrawn but I don't know what the appetite would be for doing an Empire-centric movie.

I chose Obi-Wan, but if I had 2 options, I would pick a Yoda movie too. :) But who's to say, they won't make one? Maybe they are planning on numerous Star Wars stories? If so-I'm game! :D

Real talk I would rate a Qui Gon, Maul, Ahsoka and possibly Thrawn.

Little off topic, but why that post about Lando movie and Ryan Coogler as director was removed from the news site?
