GAME Star Wars: Battlefront II Character skins

I hope they're coming. Like you said, there's so much to choose from... Each character can have multiple skins. I don't understand why wouldn't they add tons of them, it's doesn't seem difficult, just model it. And it's not like canon matters in this particular case, especially since you can use heroes cross-era.

I'd like to get Bespin Luke, TLJ Kylo without the cape (there's a mod, but only you can see it when you use it) and Kylo from the Starkiller duel.

It's hidden in the game files, so they'll add it for sure.

I think Han Hoth (furry jacket etc) just like the Luke Hoth skin we have already seen.

 

I just unlocked Hoth Leia skin. its really cool I suppose cant wait now for the Han Hoth skin. Another thought what about topless kylo as a BF2 skin?

 

I don't know about topless, but I'm definitely looking forward to a capeless variant of TLJ Kylo.

My understanding of the new update was that when they add skin options for soldiers next month, there will also be more skin options for heroes I want Bespin and Crait skins for Luke, A New Hope, Bespin escape, and Battle of Endor skins for Leia, and a beardless variant of the smuggler skin we got of Han Solo. I’d love a capeless Kylo Ren from The Last Jedi and Rey in her Ahch-To outfit, as well. (To be honest, I’d really love “old” versions of Han and Leia from the Sequel Trilogy, too, but those seem far less likely than Crait Luke.)

Also, just so you guys know, the challenges for Leia’s Hoth skin are live. You have to do all three this weekend, so it’s not set up to take three weeks like it did with Luke.

 

TLJ Crait skin for Luke would be the best thing ever... Even if they made it super hard to obtain. I'm curious if it would work with the young Luke animations. Well, judging by the little breakdance he did in the movie, I guess it would. They would have to update the sound - Mark would probably be up for it. The only problem is that the Force projection wasn't fighting physically, but in this case I say screw this, let's just have fun with the game.

 

I agree. I highly doubt it would happen, but I’d totally be here for it, even if it just a Force projection rather than the physical character. (Plus, chances are they wouldn’t give Han and Leia skins of their older selves. If you ask me, Han’s standard skin could pass for his look from The Force Awakens, too, as it would simply be a matter of recoloring the jacket and potentially the hair—and even that’s pretty close.) I think it’s possible we’ll get a Crait Luke skin possibly to balance it out if Han and Lando get skins to match their younger selves in Solo. If they do that, maybe they’ll give Leia her outfit from The Last Jedi. But who knows? Crait Luke would still be SO awesome.

 

Well, if you make him a playable character then by default you make him a physical character, because he has to attack with his lightsaber.

White robed Luke would be great too. But adding both these skins would raise many little question that LFL might not want to answer... Like - can a Force projection attack physically if he does it in the game? What kind of lightsaber would the TFA Luke have? If it's the green one, is it canon that he had it with him on Ahch-To? I just wish we nobody cared about this kind stuff in the case of Battlefront and let it be "loosely canon," but we all know fans...

Btw. I don't know if you've seen @Trev but they've added Ahch-To Luke to Force Arena and he uses the green lightsaber. If they've done it there then I see no reason for not adding him as a skin to Battlefront...

Oh, I've just had an idea. How about the Luke from TLJ flashback? We've seen him with the green lightsaber so there's no continuity issue or whatever. Still not as cool as the Crait one.

Bespin Luke is far more likely, but we'll see, let's have hope... Old Luke and definitely old Han will pass, but I definitely can't imagine old Leia jumping and rolling around.

One thing is certain - with customisation being the source of additional income, they will definitely look into it to a bigger extent. Gosh, there are so many possibilities which demand so little effort to create.

I agree that adding skins for Luke from The Last Jedi would raise some questions, so Luke from The Last Jedi flashback might be cool, too, even if it’s not as good as Crait Luke. I mean, at least, even if it isn’t prominently worn, he does wear it in the film. (Unlike that stupid outfit they gave Leia that makes her look like Padmé in The Clone Wars.) Although if they give him the green one, that is technically canon. The Last Jedi novelization confirms that he left the green lightsaber in the possession of the Caretakers.

That’s great that they’ve added him to Force Arena! I don’t play it, but it gives me hope that they might add him to Battlefront II.

In all honesty, Han has more skins than the other characters as it is. The Hoth one will probably be unlockable next week, and they’ll probably add a young version of him to coincide with the release of Solo (that’s four skins right there). If they want to balance that out, then maybe Luke will get both Bespin and one of his outfits from The Last Jedi. Leia will probably get her Endor outfit and her outfit from A New Hope.

I really hope they just look into customization a little more. It would also be really nice if there was a way where you could swap out your heroes’ skins while you’re playing. If I’m playing as Luke in Heroes vs. Villains and the map is Hoth, I’d like to be able to switch him to his Hoth gear for that, but then switch him back to his other outfit for the other maps so he doesn’t look so stupid.

They’ve got a lot of work to do, but at least they seem to be making a step in the right direction.

 

Not really, as far as I know! It says that the Caretakers took his "weapon." Could mean a wooden dagger for what it's worth... It's like they wanted us to think it's the lightsaber, but at the same time they want to keep room for potential backpedaling... But I really want to believe it's the green lightsaber, I wish they just confirmed it. As I said, the fact that Force Arena used it should be the license to put it in other games. Even if that's "fantasy scenario" I'm cool with it.

 

Ahh, gotcha! I haven’t read the full novel yet, I just skimmed to some of the important parts. One of the fan sites I follow on Facebook posted something about that and either they misreported or I misread something. (I often read Facebook late at night, so it’s very possible that’s why!) I think it would be really cool if Luke continues to be a mentor to Rey as a Force ghost, and that through this, she decides to return to Ahch-To, where she finds the green lightsaber. (I’m all for continuing with the blue one or her creating her own, but I just love the green one so much and feel like it got the shaft in The Last Jedi.)

Like you said, though, if one game does this, the others certainly can, too. If you think about it, they’re all fantasy scenarios. The only “canon” aspect of Battlefront II is the campaign mode, but Luke’s The Last Jedi appearance obviously wouldn’t be playable there. But in Heroes vs. Villains, Galactic Assault, Arcade, etc., those scenarios are obviously not canon, so I don’t see what the big deal is.

But we all know how Lucasfilm and EA are, so, I guess at this point, whether we get this Luke skin or not is totally up to them, unfortunately.

Maybe because BFII is the most high-profile they try to be careful with canon. They're using the word "authentic" when they talk about how they want it to feel and thus they justify the lack of visual customisation*. But then you can run around as Yoda on Starkiller Base... Let's just stop kidding ourselves with the authenticity. Sure, no pink stormtroopers, but let's have at least some fun with it.

*We'll, they used to. I think something might actually change since they're making it the source of microtransactions.

 

I feel the exact same way. They might want to keep him out of it, but some of the heroes’ abilities are absolutely ridiculous. There is something seriously wrong with the fact that a character like Lando can easily take down someone like Palpatine.

My issue with them promoting Battlefront II as the most authentic Star Wars game is the fact that, like you said, they allow characters and maps from different eras to cross paths. While I don’t mind that, they can’t use that as a way of justifying the exclusion of certain characters or maps. I don’t want any pink stormtroopers or anything ridiculous like that, but I think it would do them a lot of good to at least look at the options that were given with the original Battlefront II. While you couldn’t customize there, there were a lot of options with characters and maps that have just been completely overlooked in this game, unfortunately.

 

Anyone know when the Hoth Han Solo gets released? I can see it when I go on appeances on Han. But it’s locked and no timed challenges have appeared. I have done the Hoth Luke and Leia both great skins.
