    I was in the Auchan (big supermarket here in Luxembourg) today and I saw an especial edition of the SNES console with 21 classics games included. I just bought it!
    So I am creating this thread for the ones that enjoyed and still enjoy playing this classic console.
    Some of the Games included:

    - Super Mario World;
    - Donkey Kong;
    - Zelda;
    - F Zero;
    - Star Fox
    - Mega Man X
    - Mario Kart...

    I never had one, I went with the Sega Genesis (and unfortunately I later got a Sega CD to go with it) instead of the SNES. Several friends had the SNES though and I enjoyed playing it at their houses. Obviously the Super Star Wars series was a favorite of mine but one of my friends had the SNES port of SimCity and I was really addicted to that for some reason.

    Never got one either. All I had were NES and Sega Genenis... replacements from Taiwan. Still, had a lot of fun with the games when I discovered emulators in high school. Ah, good old days.

    Yep, I owned a SNES growing up! So many great games. Super Mario World & Super Mario All-Stars & Star Fox were among my favourites.

    I also had Super Star Wars. Fun game, but pretty tough too! More recently I watched a YouTube playthrough of the game. One of the comments was, "My favorite scene in A New Hope has always been where Luke goes to the Mos Eisley bar and blasts the hell out of everything." Haha! :p

    I was always a Sega fan and had the Megadrive/Mega CD/32X so the SNES was always the enemy to me in the bitter Megadrive vs SNES battle of the early 90's. My first Nintendo console was the N64 after seeing the advert for Shadows of the Empire and although I had the Sega Saturn at the time, I couldn't resist getting the N64!

    I did get a SNES eventually, great console with some great games!

    Still have my SNES. I was playing Bubsy Bobcat the other day. Love that game. "Cheesewheels of Doom" could be the best name for a game level ever!

    Oh man, the Sega CD was awful (for me at least) but there was one game on there that I loved and that was the port of Wing Commander. Sewer Shark, which came with mine, was the only other game I remember being halfway playable. It was neat to see FMV in a game but the more a game had the less likely it was to work or be enjoyable to play. Like Ground Zero Texas I never managed to get to work properly but I wasn't too broken up because it didn't look particularly fun. I had Double Switch but it seemed like the game never responded when I'd try to set off traps and I never got anywhere.

    But yeah I went Sega over Nintendo and my main regret was the fact that we didn't get any Star Wars but it wasn't long after that I got my first PC and started getting my Star Wars fix there with stuff like X-Wing and TIE Fighter. But the next time I bought a console it was the N64, partly because of Goldeneye but also because of the Star Wars games. I got it around the time Episode I came out and I actually got the one that came bundled with Episode I Racer in a special Star Wars box and I think Rogue Squadron was already out and Shadows Of The Empire as you mentioned. So it seemed like the way to go but the PS1 was also out at the time so there were still some Star Wars games I was envious about that I couldn't play.

    Later when it came time to choose my next system I picked the XBOX, not because of Halo which was so popular at the time but because it had Obi-Wan which looked cool even though the salesman at Best Buy was saying it sucked. I loved it though. And I got a GameCube as a gift later on but the only games I owned for it were the two Rogue Squadron games and that was the last Nintendo gaming device of any kind I've ever had though I've played a lot of old NES/SNES games on an emulator in recent years.

    I have to admit that looking back, the Mega CD wasn't that great. It was a novelty at the time as it was one of the first consoles/add-ons to have a game on a CD. As a MegaDrive owner I was a bit jealous of the Star Wars games on the SNES, that was until I got Star Wars Arcade for the 32X, loved that game as well as Virtua Racing and Doom.

    Sega consoles were always my first choice until they stopped making them but I did buy the N64 after the Saturn and the Gamecube after the Dreamcast.

    The N64 especially was a great console for Star Wars games (SOTE, Rogue Squadron, Episode 1 Racer), the Saturn had none and the Star Wars games on the Playstation were awful. The Gamecube had the Rogue Squadron/Leader games which were great but since then I've not really enjoyed playing Star Wars games.

    I switched to Xbox after the demise of the Dreamcast and I can't say any Star Wars games on the Xbox/360/One have grabbed my attention for any length of time except maybe Jedi Outcast on the original Xbox.

    Although I couldn't resist buying Episode 1 Racer and Jedi Outcast last night for the Switch for a combined £11, what a bargain!
