    the struggle is real.

along the same lines, I was reading this today:

"So what can the NFL do about the outcome of the Rams-Saints game? Probably nothing. Bad calls happen. Sometimes, bad calls have bigger consequences than others.

Still, there’s language in the rulebook that could, in the right circumstances, allow the Commissioner to take extreme action in the face of a grossly unfair result.

Consider Rule 17, Section 2, Article 1: “The Commissioner has the sole authority to investigate and take appropriate disciplinary and/or corrective measures if any club action, non-participant interference, or calamity occurs in an NFL game which the Commissioner deems so extraordinarily unfair or outside the accepted tactics encountered in professional football that such action has a major effect on the result of the game."

    ....

And here’s where it gets even juicier. Consider Rule 17, Section 2, Article 3: “The Commissioner’s powers under this Section 2 include . . . the reversal of a game’s result or the rescheduling of a game, either from the beginning or from the point at which the extraordinary act occurred.”

(I swear I've done something other than read PFT today.... Okay not really)

Not that it would ever happen. They would never admit they screwed up that bad. But if they did.... WOW.

First Bears QB to make a pro bowl since McMahon in 85. <3
    PFF on suicide watch.
Yeah let's not pretend like this is new.

If they didn't reverse it then, they sure aren't gonna reverse it now. Ugh, probably the only time I supported my most hated rival team.

Ok if @teline is felling sorry for the Packers thatmust have been a horrendous call by the refs.
Also it nice to know refs can suck no matter what sport they are officiating.

The situation sure seems to have soured NOLA... and for good reason. I think this will just end up being that moment the fans would love to forget but never will be able to.

I know Brady's easy to hate if you aren't a Pats fan, but damn it guys that's just wrong.
If this happened in Cleveland the refs wouldn't have made it out of the stadium.

On another note, to the surprise of no one, the Chiefs fire their defensive coordinator Bob Sutton. The way the Chiefs lost to the Patriots was the final straw. Mahomes has led three comeback 4th quarters against both Superbowl teams this season, only to be let down by the defense. Look at the scores of any of the Chiefs losses this season, it wasn't the offense losing the games. When your lowest scoring game of the season is 26 points and you're somehow not undefeated or at the very least a two loss team, then maybe you should rethink your defense.

Al's gonna love this. Ravens extend Harbaugh for 4 more seasons.

You're telling me the Chiefs even had a defensive coordinator in the first place?

It was the guy with the laser pointer trying to point out Tom Brady to the defense.

Honestly... I can kinda see it? I'm starting to vibe with that idea the more I think about actually...

They don't have the cap space to really sign a bridge QB right now (which is why I keep telling @Alamact Joe will never go to the Skins as much Al would love it). Me personally, I would definitely draft a QB right now and think about the future but the way everyone feels about Washington's front office right now is kinda like the Republic feels about Chancellor Valorum: with a complete vote of no confidence.

So crazy for a franchise as old as the Chiefs to just now get their first MVP! Deserved the MVP by like a mile. Easily.
And in a spicy turnaround... Saquon Barkley is your Offensive Rookie of the Year!

The Eagles just got Foles for the next season. He can elect to buy out the deal and become a free agent if he believes a team will pick him up and pay him more. Could he sit on the bench for a year for $20M? Sure. Me personally, I'd take the $20M to ride the bench, but players usually have a different mentality.

Hey! The Colts are relevant too!

For our franchises being basement dwellers last year we did really good. :D
Don't forget to get your pick in for the SB btw. That goes for you too @Alamact.

Bill Belichick: "Ohh, I'm afraid the tight end routes will be fully operational by the time your pass rush arrives."
Still salty about last Sunday's results so I've been putting it off all week long. Thanks for the reminder. ^^

I missed a lot of messages and topics that I want to get back to. I apologize about the abrupt absence on my part - I needed to make an emergency trip to my village and, as you well know, internet access there is limited and every bit of data is precious.

For now, I hope everyone enjoys their Super Bowl and since I'm picking the Patriots this Sunday, the good part of me potentially losing the Pick 'Em is that it would produce a lot of interesting narratives - both inside our Casino game thread and within the league itself.
