SPECULATION Star Wars: Battlefront II General Discussion

Im personally Enjoying him he is not a Brawler Like Vader,Maul,Kylo Ren and Grevious and his kit focuses on enemy Weaknesses which makes him formidable and is very powerful leveled up

 

He seems pretty cool. I like his more fencing-styled fighting.

Wish there were better offline modes I could play with him in.

 

Yeah, he's a good lightsaber villain and is great with dealing with heroes like Obi-wan, Rey,Yoda & Luke. However I'm noticing he's struggling with blaster heroes. He's not as weak against them as Maul, but it's definitely one of his weaker points.

Otherwise both he & Grievous are insanely good right now.

 

February road map just got released:


Anakin is confirmed to be dropping on the 27th of the month, we'll also be getting more than one community transmission this month leading up to the update.

Good times.

 

Ah, I was hoping for news on that new game mode.

Exciting to be getting Anakin soon, though- as well as the fact that now that we've just about gotten all announced heroes, there's always the possibility more could be announced again soon.

 

The logical side of me says you're probably right, but the ridiculous optimist in me remembers those Padme and Ahsoka voice files someone found.

 

The new mode hasn't been confirmed or denied for the February update, and according to the community managers we'll be getting news on it shortly.

Support through 2019 has already been confirmed. So uh... I'd say there's not much to fear.

Just curious, what do you mean by that? Is there reason to believe more stuff is on the way?

Do y'all think there'll be a Battlefront 3? Or at least a continuation of the storyline with Zay post-TLJ?

 

I hope not. Battlefront has been a four year long disappointment. Would rather they move on to something else.

 

After watching some videos of the campaign I did eventually get this game last fall. I really enjoyed the campaign, Iden’s story was neat and the Luke missions were excellent as were the Lando ones. Lando and Shriv have some great dialogue.

And even though galactic assault really is not my kind of gameplay, it’s fun for what it is. It all looks visually stunning, Geonosis is especially amazing, I love when the dust storm kicks in. GA is incredibly hard though, I’m amazingly bad at that kind of games style, lol I’m lucky if I get two or three eliminations a match.

Anyways, been taking a break to play AC Origins, but will have to get back into Battlefront to get Dooku and get enough credits for Anakin.

Plus some things leaked through, so we have a pretty good idea of what'll be coming for at least the next 4 or 5 months I suspect.

 

Can’t wait to play as Anakin pretty soon! I’m also looking forward to seeing some of the other changes/additions that they will be making, like the improved lightsaber combat, clone customization, and the emote wheel.

I’m also excited for the new large-scale game mode and the reinforcements they’ll be adding! (I’m guessing that it’ll be Clone Commandos and Commando Droids.)

I know that an offline GA wouldn't have groundbreaking AI, but it worked well for my needs in Battlefront 2015, outside of the fact that I wish it included the DLC, too.

I just really want to be able to take in the environments, story-based objectives, heroes, and vehicles without being immediately killed by a teenager before I can even try out my three abilities. Arcade is so limited compared to what an offline GA could be.

And I know that Battlefront actually has a ton of offline content compared to most modern shooters. But the problem is, Battlefront as a series has legacy of offline content.. Many of us grew up largely playing it exclusively that way. Some of my favorite childhood gaming memories come from late nights running a split screen Galactic Conquest mode, or passing around Instant Action to face off against various friends. Or working together, too- that was always just as fun.

Here's to hoping that upcoming game mode can fill that void.

 

Speaking of, the game mode got delayed to next month. Upside is that they confirmed two new reinforcement types are being included with it.

As long as it's a solid offline mode, I'm totally okay with that. Especially considering the reinforcement news.

 

Agreed. I'm rather curious to see what these new reinforcements are, but alas we have to wait until next month for any info on those.
