Kinda surprised that there is not a thread already about this. EA is developing a new game called Jedi Fallen Order, said to take place after the downfall of the Jedi and Order 66. It will be a single player game.

Here is a teaser EA released. They have announced the premiere for the game will be held tomorrow. The game is slated to be released later this year around Christmas time. Feel free to stay tuned!

I know I’ve seen some backlash over the gameplay video that was released, but I’m actually pretty happy about it and am ready to experience it for myself.

I lowered my expectations considerably because last year they hyped up the game like it was going to be this cool dark Jedi game after the events of Order 66, yet all I see is a Force Unleashed clone, which can become extremely repetitive.

Amy Henning’s game seemed much more promising. It appeared that her game had allot of new characters being brought to the table. I hate EA for canceling her game. I hope that LFL starts their own gaming studio and takes the license out of EA’s hands.

I totally agree with @Rogues1138 . I watched the E3 demo and all I saw was Force Unleashed, granted I enjoyed the first Force Unleashed, but after what happened with Battlefront II EA I'm not really all that excited. I certainly hope it's good, but I'm expecting an average at best TFU clone. Unfortunately, EA has exclusive rights to Star Wars until 2023 (they signed a 10 year deal in 2013), but hopefully, it won't get renewed. I'd love to see a developer like CD Projekt Red get a shot at making a Star Wars game, but almost anyone would be better than EA.

I wouldn't hold your breath. During the last financial report, Bob Iger stated that Disney "has a good relationship with EA and is satisfied with their success with the license so far."
