    He was also humiliated in front of Hux and the First Order. It's also obvious word of Luke's heroics spread through the galaxy fast, which you know has to piss him off. His anger was growing so I'm betting he's MUCH darker when TROS begins. If he does give up the dark side at the drop of a hat, I'll be pretty pissed.

    it’s definitely a subject that causes division lol :D
    how differently we all view him eh?

    it’s what I love about the character the most., he intrigues, challenges and divides us.

    I think he has equal disdain for both sides of the force.. light & dark, and have seen him use both:

    I think that he tapped into his light sided teachings to kill Snoke - he was calm and at peace, and used wisdom to defeat him.. there was no strength/power/anger/fear.

    didn’t anyone else notice that?

    Rey: Was full of rage and anger. She was aggressive. She used the dark side. => Yoda: "Anger, aggression, the dark side of the Force are they."

    I think it was sincere. Ben has issues, but he’s been pretty blunt about his opinions. He wears his heart on his sleeve...even his rage. He’s also just a human at the end of the day. Most people must be terrified of him his whole life. Rey can hold her own against him. He’s probably relieved. His face when she moves closer to him in the elevator says it. Some read it as romance, but I just see it as being so strange an experience for him as most people have either wanted to run away or “train” him.

    Is it lost on you that he said a lot of these things after she rejects his offer to rule the galaxy? He feels like he has nothing to lose at that point.

    Let's not forget the sad puppy dog face, complete with streaming tears, in their last force bond moment. The man's a lot of bark and, apparently, no bite when it comes to Rey.

    I know right? Considering the most interesting part of that interview is Daisy saying that TROS is genre-wise different from the other two movies... Kind of fun to speculate about that. TFA was an action adventure, TLJ was a mixture of action adventure and coming of age drama... What could TROS be? My bet is a epic romantic thriller :)

    Also interesting that she found amusing the speculation about time travel... ("world between worlds" theories for Palpatine debunked?). I wonder what her opinion would be about Rey being a clone of Luke's hand...
