    Ups, you're absolutely right.
I was confused with Obi-Wan series, that will happen between Solo events.
    Thanks for the reminder!

With such amount of news I have lost my north :p

This is an excellent trailer, amazing shots, it sets a tone ,maybe as Star Wars has ever had, and it certainly makes me want to see it.

Saw it 60 times already, sent my tweet response to RBSWNN's tweet which later Gina Carano liked. What a honour.

I just keep rewatching this trailer. They have definitely exceeded my already high expectations. I don't know much about the wager threads here, but I bet this could get some Emmy and Golden Globe nominations!

Definitely looks worthy of a Cinematography nomination.

I am extremely impressed by the production value of this preview. I mean, it's not going to have the same budget as a major motion picture but I am just not seeing much drop-off in production. The earliest I can remember seeing Favreau was when he played Rudy's friend in the movie "Rudy". Who woulda known back then that he was such a fantastic creator and visionary...

I think sometimes the more budget the more false a production is seen (specially those big blockbusters with an abuse of cgi) and plays against it. When you have to work on every level trying to invest up to the last dollar with a good story, is when a production seems credible and legit. The first production it comes to my mind from the last year is the film "Upgrade" and amazing low-budget sci-fi movie. It's worth every dollar invested.
12-15 milion per episode seems pretty great to make things right and look supercool. The production in TM seems astonishing.

With Favreau I remember him specially in "Friends", with his "zone of terror" and the 2 stormtroopers at home :D

That is so cool! I love how invested and excited the cast seem about being a part of Star Wars :)

Fun fact: The Twi'lek woman in the trailer is played by Natalia Tena, she played Nymphadora Tonka in the Harry Potter films and Osha in Game of Thrones.

If the Cassian Andor series and all the Marvel series have the same production value, then Disney+ will indeed be a major player.

The use of the Unreal Engine for special effects is a game changer.

I'm just remembering... wasn't one of the earliest pictures shown from the set of The Mandalorian a photo of a droid that looked remarkably like R5 D4?

In some ways this series, and much of the Disney era Star Wars, to me feels almost like it's part of an alternate reality version of Star Wars. Perhaps a better way of putting it might be that it seems like a kind of a 'what if' version of Star Wars, but still set in known timeline. The Mandalorian himself is like Boba Fett, but without being Boba Fett (unless of course it turns out he is!), IG-11 is like a version of IG-88 without actually being IG-88. And.. um... the R5 droid is maybe just like R5 D4 but without actually being R5 D4? (although I do hope it is him!)

The Force Awakens felt very similar, like an alternate reality or 'what if' version of the original, albeit in the form of a sequel which is still set in the same universe and told through different characters. I've described it before as being like a version of Star Wars that existed on the edge of our imaginations, and I remembering feeling like it was a version of Star Wars I had dreamed. A dream where I would wake up and think, "that was just like Star Wars". (ROTS also felt like a version of SW I had dreamed, but in a very different way).

Getting back to The Madalorian - I think there are at least two good reasons to have him NOT be Boba Fett, especially considering where the stories are placed after the events of ROTJ. Firstly, it bypasses having to deal with all of that Sarlacc business. Secondly, it means he doesn't have to portrayed by Temuera Morrison. Not that I have anything against Temuera Morrison, just that it gives greater freedom for the creators to define the character.

A cameo at least though from Daniel Logan somewhere, the original young Boba, might be a nice nod though.

As an Australian I am happy to never hear that atrocious accent ever again. That is the worst change George ever made. I cringe everytime I hear it, the horror of it still effects me in my sleep now.

It would be like Darth Vader talking with a Canadian accent.

Sure... but doesn't it make you want a chocolate brownie?

To be honest it's a Special Edition change to the OT that I didn't even blink at. I don't think I would have even noticed had it not been pointed out.

How about with a West Country one?

They can fix that now so you do blink! ;):D(ewok)

Ah, that never gets old. Poor Dave. If things had gone differently, perhaps he could have gone on to be Mufasa in the Lion King ... twice! Just imagine! :D

Lol. With my user name I guess one could reasonably guess I might want blue milk. But honestly, I think it would depend to some degree on whether I had to collect it myself. I feel like I could get trampled to death by a bantha by just looking at it the wrong way, whereas the thala-sirens look more chilled out. :D:p

It's a practical FX, they used a background plate of a close up of a chocolate brownie. ;):D
