What type of content do you think we will see/hope to see on Disney's streaming service? What eras are you hoping to see covered? I hope we see a mix of live action and cartoon content that covers various eras in Star Wars lore. I think it would be really cool if we got an Old Republic live action miniseries.

Hoping to see all of the above!

I'm thinking we could probably see 1-2 live action movies a year, maybe 1-2 cartoons, and 1 live action TV show for starters.

Throw in some miniseries or more TV shows as time goes on, if it looks like there's room for expansion.

Certainly the first 2 options & a mood in series or 2 would be nice.
I’m really unsure about a film if the quality is up there then I don’t see why they wouldn’t at least consider it but there is still something special about seeing a Star Wars film on the big screen.

I hope they go all Marvel TV and have two to three Live action series going on plus some animated shows and Mini series. How the creativity in studios now resides in live action TV so that is where they need to go.

I want Star Wars One Shots like the short films Marvel did in the early days of the MCU. And I Marvel to do them again too.

I also think Star Wars and Marvel should do holiday specials. A twenty to thirty minute film every Christmas, Easter, Summer, Halloween, etc.

These could tell us the stories of Luke finding a potential Padawan, what happened to Poe during TFA, an adventure of the Master Codebreaker and his associate, various residents of Mos Eisley, Cloud City, Canto Bight, etc. , stormtroopers try to invade Umbara (a story for halloween), young Han and Chewie trying to find work to put food on the table and fuel in the tank, etc.

I love a Star Wars TV show involving politics, criminal organisations, espionage, the military, etc.

House of Cards meets Narcos meets The Americans meets The Unit but in a form suitable for the whole family.

Or create separate series but the characters crossover and the events in each impact the other.

I'm all for some TV series. There is such great television out there right now. I'd argue that much of it is better than most larger movies. A great TV series has time to flesh out stories and characters so much more. I'm game for that kind of engagement for sure.

i’ll gobble up any form of Star Wars they put out.

what I’d like? to be surprised. R1 as a first standalone surprised me, the direction of the ST has surprised (and delighted) me, Resistance surprised me, and I was shocked to hear that they were making the mandalorian and a Cassian tv show.. oh and more clone wars.

I don’t know if I could love KK, Disney and LF anymore than I do right now.

Go on Disney & LF.. keep it up!

I’d quite like them to approach BioWare to make an animated series based on the old republic. The trailers they made for the TOR game were remarkable in my opinion.

    :)

I don't really care if they make limited-series, ongoing series, movies or a mix of all three. I just hope they don't focus too much on telling stories about already established characters, and/or in era that are already well covered in other media.

I understand why Disney would want to feature characters like Cassian, Obi-Wan, etc - but I hope they don't overwhelm shows like The Mandelorian going forward. I know the list of supposed character that are up for their own shows is likely BS, but I can't help but worry it may not be too far from Disney has in mind for Star Wars on the streaming service.

I want the old Ewok tv shows/films... haha. The holiday special cleaned up, and the original OT untouched.

I'm sure we'll hear more about it all at D23.

I'm hoping for 4K and restored unaltered versions as well.

In addition to all the Star Wars and Marvel content, I’m also especially interested in:

    Willow
    The Black Cauldron
    20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
    Sleeping Beauty
    Adventures of the Gummi Bears

If I was running LFL I'd put the underworld series George had been working on into production and put it on Disney+ Especially since they have what, well over 40 scripts done??? That, to me, is a no-brainer.

It's a good idea, and there's a lot to work with there.

Though I'd imagine quite a few scripts feel pretty "Legend-sy", and quite a few more probably feel dated by modern script quality- it's probably a lot more "monster of the week", and less overarching story, and even in Mando's few episodes that format wasn't for everyone.

I agree there's almost certainly some that can be salvaged from it, though.

I have to admit, I really disliked episodes 5 & 6 (and was kinda "meh" on episodes 2 & 4) of the Mando for this reason. I couldn't actually believe they went in that direction, kinda felt very Star Trek/Stargate (eww). I though we were gonna get Breaking Bad level TV, instead it came out a little more CSI:Star Wars :p.

    Episodes 1, 3, 7 & 8 were sublime though!

Yeah, it wasn't quite as tight as it could've been.

6 was at least pretty original, but I feel like 5 relied quite a bit on nostalgia. Not necessarily a bad thing, but... personally, I'm sick of Tatooine.

It's course, rough, and it gets everywhere (or, at least into too much Star Wars media)
