    Good evening everyone,
Been a fan of virtually everything Star Wars since the original film release in 1977 and it's universe is still my go to place for a couple of hours escapism from the real world.
Love all the films (I still have my favourites but watch them all repeatedly) and the TV shows as and when I get to them (haven't as yet watched The Clone Wars but I do have them to plough through at some point). I was a big fan of the EU books and was disappointed when they were passed over in favour of the new canon. I also used to be an avid collector of merchandise (anything from action figures to Gentle Giant statues) but space eventually became an issue and the constant releases became a bit too relentless to keep up with and enjoy so i knocked that aspect on the head.
I'm now also old enough to realise no matter how much I gripe about the universe I love, it's not going to change just because I didn't like something, so now I just buckle up and enjoy the ride.

There are so many things about Star Wars that I like but first and foremost is the way that even now, I get to disengage from my surroundings and become the awe inspired kid I was when I saw the Star Destroyer pass over the screen for the first time.
There have been other films that I like but none have ever had as much of an impact as Star Wars has.

Hello everyone! Glad to be here.

I first became a Star Wars fan in the early 2000's when little ol' me was shown the OT on VHS by my dad. Ever since, I've been enthralled by this series and consider it one of my inspirations for studying film production at college. As far as what I interact with, I'm an avid collector of the 6" Black Series figures but I'm planning to shift focus on picking up more Star Wars books and comics and to try my hand at a few of the games I missed out on.

Looking forward to interacting with everyone here!

Hello all! (joined almost 2 years ago, just never posted haha)

I'm John from Wasilla, AK. TESB was my first SW film when I was 5 or 6. I remember the first time I layer my eyes on the original VHS copy because it was the first scene where a Super Star Destroyer was introduced to the film(s). I was hooked!

My older brother got my all three films for my next birthday and we watched em back to back at least once a week for a few months haha.

I'm very fascinated about SW lore and debating about this amazing franchise. Hope to post more soon!

    Thank You!!

Hey everyone, I've been a Star Wars fan all my life. It must have started when I was young and my father showed me the all the Star Wars DVDs he owned. At the time he only had the original trilogy and The Phantom Menace, so those movies have a special place in my heart. I don't really get to talk about my love of Star Wars so I decided to join here in hopes of being able to do so.

[Flips through official-looking clipboard] - "Let's see... @Mando ....you're new around this Cantina I see. OK we have several rules here. First, your droids have to wait outside. Second, stay away from that dark corner over there, a couple shady characters there. Finally, WELCOME TO THE CANTINA and looking forward to seeing you around here!!!"

First of all, I can't believe KZ-20 wasn't taken yet. I tend to believe I'm a KX-series security droid that the resistance obtained but who is secretly on a spy mission for the First Order.

Anyway, I'm Martin, 29 years old. I am from the Netherlands (Amsterdam). I've been a fan since I watched The Phantom Menace in cinema as a 9 year old kid. I will never forget that I got home after it, took the stick our toilet rolls were on and started fighting my brother with it. Good fun. Apart from this incident I am not aggressive and against domestic violence.

I got my girlfriend to watch Clone Wars and Rebels with me, and she actually loved it. Very proud of myself. I didn't even need baby Yoda for that. Ahsoka was enough.

I have been on this website for a while now, always read the comments, but never made a profile myself. Sometimes I very much agree with what I read, sometimes I don't. Most of all, people should respect each others opinions, as long as they are formulated in a respectfull way.

Looking forward to conversate, brainstorm, etc. Biggest dream is to one day have my own Star Wars podcast.

    Here goes nothing.

Hey y'all. Just found this thread... I'm from west Texas, U.S. My family and I are big fans of Star Wars, of course. I'm also a fugitive from other SW sites that got out of control with trolls, and I figured I've lurked here long enough, so...why not.

May the Force be with you.

Welcome @KZ-20 ! Love your approach here, looking forward to seeing you around. I've got you by a few years (uhhh... like 27) but I too had to have a light saber when I got home in 1977 after seeing the original as a 12 year old. I had to go outside and get a stick from the back yard!

    Hey guys.

Lifelong Star Wars fan here, been a longtime lurker of various forums but never really posted much. Having finished The Mandalorian has sparked my love of the franchise once again and looking to actually post on this forum that shares the same interests as mine.

Hello all! Long, long time Star Wars fan. One of my first memories is seeing A New Hope on the big screen. I'm not a purist. I like some of the special edition changes. I've also enjoyed all of the trilogies and spin offs, and consider all of it Star Wars. I recently sat through the Harkins 9 movie marathon and didn't fall asleep. I'm a screenwriter and published author, and one of these days I hope to write for Lucasfilm. Yes, even in the Sequel Trilogy era. :)

Welcome onboard, Craig :) I'm very envious of your being a published author. Many of us work so hard for so very long but fail to accomplish that. Good on you, sir! And yes, Star Wars is great! :D

    Two things:

    1) Welcome aboard!
    2) OK, I had to look you up and now I'm following you because Lucifer Just Wanted To Pet Kittens...lol I mean...what? I think I know what fiction books I'll be looking into after I finish the last book of Terry Prachett's Discworld series (on the last pages of it).

    Cheers,
    Jayson

It's actually the second book in the series. Book one "God Just Wanted To Play Golf" is out now. I'm about halfway through Lucifer.

Thanks! It's a long journey with glorious highs and crushing rejection. I've wanted to be a screenwriter since I first saw Star Wars and that finally came to fruition last year. My new movie "Dr. Saville's Horror Show" finishes shooting this month. Sometimes dreams just take a bit longer to achieve than planned. I now have two other movies in production including a post apocalyptic samurai movie called "Blade of the S.A.M.U.R.A.I." which has also been turned into a comic book series that I am also writing. Wrapping up the fifth issue script as we speak.
