While I was reading "Leia: Princess of Alderaan", it occurred to me that we mostly know Leia as an adult, and her teenage adventures could comprise a saga on their own; besides, I feel that the eccentric character of her friend Amilyn Holdo has a lot of potential, and that potential wasn't fully used in the Last Jedi (i. e. she has lots of hidden depths, just like Luna Lovegood). Disney had been showing interest in Star Wars animated series recently (the Resistance series), so IMO, it would be cool if it made an animated series centering around Leia, Amilyn, Kier Domadi, etc., something that would combine the Star Wars universe and the feel of teenage adventure shows like Jonny Quest, Young Justice, etc. What do you think?

You've posted this on Reddit too, right? It wasn't recieved that well there and I have to agree: this idea is not very compelling. Leia was already featured quite alot within the Disney Star Wars era. She was in three movies (TFA, R1, TLJ), in several novels and comis, she had a cameo in Rebels and furthermore she was in one episode of Forces Of Destiny. That's enough.

Disney should let go off the original big three and tell new stories with new characters. An animated Leia series would fail like the Solo movie "failed".

I believe, strongly, that a young Leia show could do great things for Star Wars -- exploring politics (good & interesting politics, not weirdly boring politics like in the PT), showcasing the rise of the Rebellion, establishing Alderaan (to give context to the calamity that befalls it in ANH), study the fantastic character that is Leia as a principle protagonist (instead of just as a counter point to the boys)... and possibly also glimpse some side-effects of "that mighty Skywalker blood" which she'll eventually pass on to Ben -- and from a storyteller/narrative POV, she'd be the perfect vehicle to meaningfully expand the pre-OT years (MUCH better, for instance, than Han Solo is!).

Solo:ASWS, as fun as it is, failed because ultimately it doesn't matter, doesn't inform the big picture much, other than by adding tons of new color. A Leia:ASWS type project, on the other hand, would inform the rest of the Skywalker Saga AT LEAST as much as Rogue One did (which, IMHO, is Rogue One's greatest accomplishment), while at the same time playing up a fantastic character too (which Solo admittedly did pretty well). As a bonus, we could possibly also get a meaningful C3PO & R2-D2 pairing again, which has been desperately lacking since... forever? (Ok, the PT had a little bit of that, but still).

I welcome a teenage Leia film/show and expect it will lift the franchise to new heights. (Just don't make it a teenage, high-school angst fest! ;) And no sparkly vampires!!!).

Have it as a lighthearted series like an equivalent of Dirty Pair. I love that anime...

As much as it PAINS me to say this, I agree. I love Leia and she is one of my most favorite characters, but the Skywalker Saga is over and we need to let it be over. With The High Republic on the way I want to look forward to what is new in the Star Wars universe, not re-visit the same characters over and over again.

With Disney having so much money dedicated to Star Wars, I’d love to see both.

I’m a dad with a young daughter. Selfishly, I’d love it if my little one caught the SW bug and it was something we could share together. She’s too young for the movies and shows. I imagine something like an adolescent Leia series would really appeal to her (and other girls like her). She is technically a ‘Disney princess’ after all. Seems like a lucrative and untapped market to me.
