Nope! I looked for them. The thing is that there was a live discussion after an airing of the trilogy of episodes and someone recorded it - and from there, you can piece together some interesting info. The spoilers that are out there don't reveal absolutely everything (namely, most of the events are a mystery), but there's plenty to learn from them. It definitely sounds like people are happy with this ending.

Dave Filoni was the voice of Chopper all along, by the way. The credits reveal this.

Something that might seem rather obvious but I just recently realized in regards to Ezra...

Ezra was born on the empire day 19 BBY. That is exactly when order 66 was carried out and force became greatly unbalanced. Luke was born 2 days later.

This further legitimizes the vessel of the force theory - if either the dark or the light becomes too powerful, the force finds a way to bring balance back. Seems like an endless cycle, war and consequently death will go on forever but so will peace and life.

With more information coming out around the Thrawn books and with all the rumor mills starting to ramp up again around with people getting multiple rewatches of Rebels again, I thought it best to crank the discussion back open again. A lot has been added into and around the events of Rebels to make this era feel even thicker than before. We know that Vader and Thrawn have a deeper relationship, we know that Rukh can be a trickster at times, Chiss females have ties to hyperspace navigation in the Unknown Regions, and there is a whole brand new entire conflict brewing out there. Now Thrawn has to face his funds being moved over to Project Stardust and the beginnings of the collapse of his Tie Defender Project. Now he is stuck between honoring his Chiss Ascendancy roots or sticking it out with the Empire under the command of his promise to the Emperor to serve him. We don't even know if we will be getting more angles with Thrawn setting up to capture Ezra and his plots with the Emperor. They may reach even further than what we saw in Season 4. Let's open this discussion and speculate responsibly as we get hyped up to the release of Thrawn: Alliances. Heck, for all we know, we may get even more ties in with "Queen's Shadow" and "Master and Apprentice" where we least expect it.

What are your thoughts on the canon expansion tying this all back to Season 4? It has all been intriguing to me seeing Thrawn grow in the books and subsequent comic adaptation around Seasons 3 and 4 of this show.

@Ganon136 I think you mean Thrawn: Treason ;)

As for tie-ins, I'm not sure what to expect out of the female Chiss pilots right now, but I'm sure that'll play a role eventually. Maybe we'll meet a young one on Resistance? I bet that if there's a fourth Thrawn book (is there one? I honestly don't know) it'll be Thrawn and Ezra working together like Thrawn and Vader in Alliances. Thrawn will use his supposed death to rally the first vestiges of the First Order while simultaneously helping the Chiss Ascendancy - after all, a dead man owes no allegiance, right? This will all backfire eventually though. Thrawn will truly be exiled from the Chiss Ascendancy after saving them. Ideally, this would line up with then end of the Battle of Jakku, but we shall see.

EXTRA SPECULATION: Even this will end in tragedy. Snoke - now revealed to be...one of the alien species that the Chiss were fighting (I can't remember the name off the top of my head) - will take over the F.O. leaving Thrawn's legacy to be a tragic footnote.

SUPER CRACKPOT TINFOIL: Admiral Sloane and Thrawn get together (please lord no, but a meeting between them would be appreciated).

You are correct. I was typing in a hurry earlier and had Alliances on the brain. Would be cool to see a fourth or fifth book. I think I heard somewhere that Zahn wanted to do about five in the current series. As long as they keep selling well, I'm sure they will let him keep writing more.

I just re-read Kanan: The Last Padawan and seeing Sloane made me realize how much I miss her. In a lot of ways, she became the new replacement to Thrawn before they recanonized him and brought him back. I've always seen her as a very independent person like Pryce, but always a grade above the rest when it came to serving her Empire. She did her duties directly, where Pryce had things to hide and was operating out of her own self-interests by abusing the Empire. Sloane deserved her place amidst the Shadow Collective, and if Gallius Rax has any say in the matter, there may even be a book where Thrawn is involved at some point with the beginnings of the Contingency and Operation: Cinder. I still feel like Eli's purpose with the Ascendancy has a much larger meaning. Things to ponder on...

I don't search Google when I have a question about Star Wars because there will always be spoilers (for any Star Wars project) posted in headlines somewhere so I have to ask here.

Did the liberation of Lothal occur before or after the Battle of Scarif ?

I'm guessing before because the Ghost was in the fleet and there is no mention in the show of the battle.

So if that is the case then shouldn't the liberation of Lothal have failed because Scarif was the first victory of the Rebellion over the Empire?

Also, has it been established yet what state Mandalore is in during the Original Trilogy and the years after? Bo-Katan led the good guys to victory against Clan Saxon (Mandalore was not a part of the Alliance so I there is no issue there) but surely the Empire moved in after that? They might have ignored Lothal and planned to deal with them later but surely Manadolore was too high profile?

Before. The reason that they don't actually show the crew in Rogue One (aside from a Chopper cameo and Hera being name-dropped) was to avoid spoiling what happened to the characters.

That is what I thought so has Filoni explained why it isn't considered the first Rebel victory?

Because at that point, the Rebel Alliance didn't want to spend any more resources fighting that battle. They were stretched pretty thin as it was.

The victory was all on the Ghost crew and their allies... And a few space-whales.

So I've recently just finished rewatching Rebels. God its good! First time watching I don't think I really appreciated it enough, I liked it, but binge watching it a second time through it really sank in how it is everything I love about star wars.

    • Great characters with great backstories and arcs who form genuine bonds with each other
    • Wonderful in-depth mythology
    • Incredible layered world building
    • And just great space adventure fun!
So i just want to apologise to Filloni/Disney for not raving about the series enough on first watch!

I am watching Rebels from the first time and I am in the middle of season 2. I would like to ask some questions regarding the characters:
-Why Ahsoka Tano figths with white lightsabers? She is a jedi, so the color should be blue, green or maximum purple.
-Kanan Jarrus is 100% jedi or an apprentice who didn't finish his training? Because it is mentioned in one episode that he didn't finish his training, infact he doesn't look much wise for a jedi. He is a little stubborn, something not suitable for a jedi.
-The inquisitors are real sith or they are of a lower grade? I thought they were sith but it looks like they are just high skilled warriors with lightsabers, not even sith's apprentices.

There are no canonical reason why Ahsoka can't have white lightsabers. Nowhere is it stated that jedi sabers have to be blue, green or purple.

If I remember correctly, the Inquisitors are corrupted jedi or padawans turned by Sidious prior to the Purge. They are not Sith, but are affiliated with a Sidious/Vader & the Empire. Basically, they are fallen jedi tools for Palpy.

She's not a Jedi. She denied the Jedi order during TCW. The so call rules of color of lightsaber for a Jedi doesn't apply to her. Good force user doesn't equal Jedi.

Kanan is a Jedi but his training wasn't completed. He was just a kid and a padawan when his master was killed from Order 66. By the time he shows up to Rebels, he's probably just below a Jedi Night. I think in season 3 or 4, they go futher into his past as be struggles to train Ezra.

ooh I have a question. In the episode where Sabine duels gar Saxon and then Ursa wren shoots gar Saxon, how did the blaster bolt penetrate his beskar?

Hi all. My local newspaper just had an interview with Filoni. He's from the area.

    https://www.post-gazette.com/ae/202...ts-viewership-Pittsburgh/stories/202004230020

"Mr. Filoni, who still has family in Pittsburgh including his mother and brother, notes that he’d normally be in Penguins “playoff mode” now. In the past he’s snuck odes to Pittsburgh into scripts and even visuals — Ghost, the ship in “Rebels,” featured a symbol inspired by the shape of a Penguins player’s goalie mask — and fans may catch something Pittsburgh-y in season two of “The Mandalorian” if it makes the final cut."

Which got me wondering. What was the Ghost symbol? Because I certainly don't recall it and I'm a big Penguins fan. After doing some research I determined it to be Michel Dion's goalie mask:
