Spent a watch of SOLO this morning looking specifically for weird stuff, nods to past droids, "stuff in the background" that I saw.....here are my results so far

When going through the gate at the Corellia spaceport (where Han smashes the droid), there is a sign in the background , in Aurebesh
    Capture-sign on proper protocol gate.JPG
Yes, it says CHECK POINT....if you were wondering

TIE Fighter fuselages , brand new, stacked on Corellia

    GONK DROID !!!

    For @FN-3263827 , Chicken in a Pot!!
    Capture-chicken in a pot.JPG
Possibly a CR-90 corvette departing Coronet Spaceport, although I need to research other freighters with that stacked 4-3-4 engine config as the fuselage does not look like a CR-90 …..

Dryden Vos has the fertility idol from Raiders of the Lost Ark on display in his ship.

On a side note, Thrawn had the grail from Last Crusade in his office on the Rebels animated series.

Isn't Tam Posla at the first Sabacc game? And I think there's also someone in a Mandalorian helmet?

Yeah, Tam Posla is at the Lodge at Fort Ypso for the Sabacc game. There's the Mandalorian armor in Dryden Vos's chambers on his ship. And the bladed weapon on a staff near the armor turned up again on the set of THE RISE OF SKYWALKER in the hands of one of the Knights of Ren.

The Dryden Vos armor isn't what I was thinking of. It took me a few minutes to find, but here's what I was referencing:

The "chicken in a pot" singing gibberish with the woman wearing a breathing apparatus was really bad. Should've just had the sounds of people talking and not music on Dryden Vos' Yacht. And why are thos TIE Fighter cockpits blue? Ever since I've seen that I've been scratching my head.

Maybe that is the basecoat for those? Like green Zinc Chromate on WWII aircraft like the B-25 below

Mining Guild TIEs are painted yellow. No reason why someone can't prefer their TIEs blue.

I like the singing and dancing. It's weird. But in a good Star Wars way.

    Says who?

Canon shows us TIEs in all maner of shapes and colors. There have been blue TIEs since the 80s. Here are some examples of TIEs that are not gray.

First Order TIE (black with white panels)
    TIE First Order.jpeg

    Mining Guild TIE (Yellow)

    Von Vonreg's TIE (Red)

    TIE Interceptor (Bluish gray)
    TIE Interceptor.jpeg

Vintage Toy (approved by LFL and to which the SOLO TIEs might very well be a homage)
    TIE vintage toy.jpg

Arms Dealers sell TIEs and if you're rich enough to buy a few, of course you can specify which color you want them in (as canon repetedly demonstrates)

Don't go about creating your own missery, dude. No need to go out of your way to look for erroneous "issues" to fule your hate.

So have you seen a TIE fighter throughout its entire production process? Nope. The blue could be an undercoating like zinc chromate on WWII aircraft, see my example above

TIE Fighters having a blueish tint isn’t anything new. Depending on what scene you’re watching, or image you’re looking at in my case, the TIE Fighters from the Original Trilogy definitely match the blue/gray color that is seen on Corellia:

    upload_2020-3-28_1-2-40.png
^This is the image used on the Wookieepedia page for the TIE Fighter.

Anyway, another interesting background detail from Solo is the appearance of this Imperial Arrestor Cruiser:

    upload_2020-3-28_1-7-54.png

It was supposed to to be featured in the film more prevalently, even having a toy made of it, but it ultimately only appeared as part of a recruitment video that plays in the background before Han enlists in the Empire. You can see it in between the two Star Destroyers.

    upload_2020-3-28_1-12-10.jpeg

It was originally designed a long time ago before A New Hope. The design by Colin Cantwell was pitched to George Lucas, but it was never used. According to Wookieepedia, it was “originally called the Sith Carrier. The ship was to launch Sith Fighters, and the dishes on its sides were intended to be used to destroy various ships. This idea was eventually adapted for the superlaser weapon of the Death Star.”

So there’s a whole bunch of history for a ship that barely even appeared in the final cut of the film. (Classic Star Wars.) Here’s a deleted scene that would’ve featured it more prominently.

The TIE Fighter cockpits that are seen on Corellia in Solo are not blue-ish they are BLUE. Way too blue and I've never seen them look like that. The TIE Strikers in-atmosphere in Rogue One are gray. So why did the fx people make them so blue in Solo? If it's an under-coat why even do that? They should've just been gray.

Says the person who asked “why are those TIE Fighters so blue” and stubbornly refuses the answers that myself, @Angelman, and @Lock_S_Foils provided. Weird hill to die on bud.

Well, this is quickly taking a turn for the worse...

I hereby invoke 1030th mod power and order everyone involved, including my own self, to shape up and move along. This argument is over, now before it descends into true nastiness. Make it so or posts will be delete and users reported. Nothing good will come from our current path.

    I have spoken.
