Now that The Clone Wars is officially finished, what is the best animated Star Wars TV series? I'm just throwing in Resistance as an option to be fair, even though we all know it's not in the same ballpark as Clone Wars and Rebels.

I personally think Clone Wars wins. Rebels was good, but at first it seemed for little kids, but then it threw in characters like Thrawn and Ahsoka to get older Star Wars fans involved but then would switch it up, reverting back to more childish themes. For example, one thing that rubbed me the wrong way was in that episode where Saw, Sabine and Ezra come out of a shuttle and are faced with Death Troopers. I thought that the Rebels would be forced back into the shuttle. But instead, the Death Troopers are the same as their bumbling stormtrooper counterparts, and they don't have their scramblers on! Also, when Sabine threw her smoke bomb, I thought that they would have filters to see through it, but they did not. Aside from other examples of Stupid Imperial Syndrome, great show!(TWILIGHT OF THE APRENTICCCE) but not as good as Clone Wars.

What I really like about the Clone Wars show besides the characters and animation style, is that they have contained story arcs. I can watch 2 to 4 episodes to get a complete story in the series. Rebels is good and I love the characters, but Clone Wars is so much more re-watchable. I think this series end to Clone Wars was one of the best TV show endings I've seen in a long time.

The Clone Wars easily. Rebels was good and even had great moments, but it could never reach the heights it needed to compare with TCW. Resistance is fun for what it was, but it wasn't the show asked for by fans or the show Lucasfilm "needed" to put out. I guess if I was to sum it up, Rebels and Resistance added to Star Wars canon, but The Clone Wars actively improved it.

The Clone Wars was a great experience, but I personally liked Rebels quite a bit more.

Partly because I just really like that pre-OT era, and partly because I didn't love the arc format of TCW.

    The Clone Wars!

Great characters and adventures, also gave the PT far more depth.

I respect TCW. It ended well. Most of the series is so scattershot to me though. The highs are pretty high, but the lows are SO low. Rebels stuck to its core characters. Focused on each of their journey’s. Joined each together and resolved them satisfactorily while hinting at a continuation. No competition for me. Rebels is unquestionably superior.

    The Clone Wars for sure.

It expanded the Star Wars mythos and several arcs are some of the best that Star Wars has to offer. Best animation too; it starts off rough but it ends up being on-par with Disney and Pixar’s theatrical releases, especially in this recent season.

I do have to give credit where credit is due though, Rebels did add quite a few interesting things to the Star Wars universe and it definitely took more risks I’d say. (Which is easier to do when you don’t follow a cast of characters who mostly already have their fates set in stone.) It’s also much more consistent I quality. With The Clone Wars, you could be getting something great, like the Siege of Mandalore or Umbara arc, or you could be getting something crappy, like any of the episodes that focus on the droids.

And while Resistance has very little to add to Star Wars, it’s cool that it technically did the crossover-with-the-films aspect first. (The Siege of Mandalore only just cane out and Rebels only had tie-ins with Rogue One and the Orig Trig, there was still always a time gap between them.)

They're both fantastic... Clone Wars & Rebels, I mean. Resistance was not. I sliightly prefer TCW though, mostly because I am more intrigued with that time frame in the Star Wars galaxy. It helps make ROTS so much deeper, having the backstory on so many of the characters, etc.

Of all Star Wars TV series', my personal rank is:

    1) The Clone Wars
    2) Rebels
    3) The Mandalorian

    4) Resistance

I absolutely love The Mandalorian, and I expect it to rise higher for sure. But at this moment there is still only the one season, so I can't justify putting it ahead of two great full series' just yet.

It's tied between Rebels and TCW for me, I adore both.

    Not a fan of Resistance.
