    So I'm torn about some things. Well mostly one thing. How do you all feel about the way the casting announcements for Season 2 were done? Like I think I would have preferred to be surprised to see Ahsoka on the screen, or Boba Fett or whoever Temuera Morrison is playing. Did Lucasfilm anticipate not being able to keep this under wraps and just got out ahead of it? Or was it a way to generate extra buzz? I keep flipping back and forth between admiring the transparency here and wishing I was in the dark. Anyone else like me out there??

    I’m with you as I too would have liked the surprise of seeing Ashoka or whoever Temuera is playing in the episode the are in with no prior knowledge of there investment.
    As for why release the info I expect it’s a bit of LucasFilm creating some extra buzz for the show ( Although personally I don’t think it needed it but then I’m not who this info was aimed at in getting them to watch the show) & also the fact they probably weren’t confident that they could keep all theses casting under wraps until the show aired & so decided that they would release the info on there own terms rather then have some Star Wars site leak the casting info

    First trailer of TM Season 1 was released in august 24th (for streaming november 12th).
    If season 2 is coming in october, why not a trailer in a few weeks? 2? 3?
    It's the only SW trailer we will get in a long time. I miss this tradition of waiting and talking about first images.
    I expect a surprise in the middle august.

    If I didn’t know we’d be getting live action versions of some of The Clone Wars and Rebels characters beforehand, I would’ve had a heart attack seeing them in the show. :p

    No official confirmation, just informed speculation. Makes sense though wanting to drop it during another sporting event, certainly matches past Disney marketing strategies. And its around the same time that Celebration would have been.

    I do think we will soon get official confirmation of a when and where, though. I doubt it would be a surprise debut.

    That date certainly makes a lot of sense as we would undoubtedly have gotten the Season 2 trailer at celebration & given that isn’t happening now releasing it as close as posts at date makes a lot of sense plus as @DarthSnow mentioned Disney has a history of linking trailers to sporting events so let’s hope this pans out & we get that trailer in a just over a weeks time.

    Ok. It's September now & still no trailer. Disney likes releasing teaser trailers during sporting events how ever with all the stuff that athletes are doing me thinks that the Mouse may release it on Fortnight or another platform.

    It is possible that Disney wants to advertise and send-out Mulan without distraction, since both are on Disney+.
    Mulan was released yesterday. I will be on the lookout for any Mando trailers, now that the show is the next “big” thing coming to the streaming service. But it is strange to have nothing less than two months before the show’s premiere. It is a rare example of Disney deliberately walking away from free advertising.
