Yall. I think you might be missing my point here :) that’s probably my fault. I should explain myself now. *clears throat*

in the past, we have received lego games of many kind. Batman, marvel, star wars, harry potter, lord of the rings, i could go on and on. All of these games have had sequels that improved the way we look at lego games. Each new game comes with new features and characters and levels that fans are amazed about. Now listen. Revolutionary. This word can describe an event that changes the world’s point of view on a subject, event, or region of the world. But, since i am discussing lego games, then this word, in its context may be different. Now, i can see why this is confusing if it even is so. I digress. I mean that this game will change peoples view of a whole lego experience. Trust me. It will be revolutionary;)

Last Christmas I was disappointed I wasn't going to spend some of the holiday playing LSW:TSS

I feel like I was about 21 when they announced it... when it actually arrives I'll be like "I have been waiting..."

I remember when this game had a rumored February 2020 release...

Should have the unofficial title "Skyber Brick 2077"

How orginal... anyways, I have morbid curiosity of what the game looked like in 2020; especially since it'll be two + years since Feb 2020.

Just making a joke man, yikes.

I'm sure the delays are for the best. I just with studios would communicate with more realistic release dates. And of course, it's almost certainly execs who pushed for the Feb 2020 rush, I'm sure the developers did their best to make sure the game is released in as good of a state as possible.

As someone who is a fan of the game of said joke, they get old fast. Anyways, but yeah I agree. 2021 saw so many delays.

Just spotted this little promo exclusive which looks like it'll be bundled with the Deluxe versions of the Lego SW:TSS when it eventually arrives...

    Ah, that Monday rage feeling...

I pre-ordered LSW:TSS Deluxe with the DLC and Bluemilk Luke back in January as my daughter was keen to play too and i figured it was something we could do together. At tail end of last week the supplier emailed me to say that due to 'banking changes introducing new verification' any orders made before March 14th would fail unless payment details were re-added... so I duly updated things, only for them to fail anyway.

The supplier then gave me 8hrs to try again between 11pm Fri and 7am Sat (because everyone's still checking emails at that time of night, yeah?), before cancelling the order and pointing me to their website if I still wanted to buy, where surprisingly the Deluxe pack was listed at a 16% higher cost than the pre-order price, but also listed as out of stock ...a theme that turned out to be the case with just about every other retailer I could think of

So here I am, 11wks on from pre-order and now unable to get anything and play tomorrow after all :(

I’m hunting for that Deluxe Edition too, and even if and when I do find it, I won’t have access to my TV or console for most of the next month anyway. Still, I’m hoping to find it in store, I really want to have that Blue Milk Luke figure and the DLC without having to buy it separately. What luck, I’m probably one of the biggest Lego fans around here and I won’t really get to play for a while!

I would have had the game pre-ordered if it weren’t for the constant delays. :(

You can still get a copy in UK, but they're on eBay for near double the original retail price now.

I've seen a few complaints from other people who had orders cancelled by the retailer I was using. Most seem to think that they deliberately failed our pre-orders as they knew other sellers had raised the price in last week or so and were selling out, so they could afford to lose us and still sell their stock at a higher price :(

I'm having a great time with Lego Star Wars so far. It's clearly made with a ton of love for the source material, and it's really infectous. The humor works most of the time, and it feels good to just lean into a self indulgent love letter sometimes. So much energy is spent on criticising and analysing the saga at all times, but it's important to smell the roses too!

So I've been playing through LEGO games lately because we just had our first kid and I want to have some options for him to game with us when he gets older... and I'm really liking the Skywalker Saga so far!

My main experience with LEGO games is the very original Star Wars one, and I had some experience with the Complete Saga (though tbh, I always thought that game's take on the OT was pretty boring).

Then this summer, I played through the LEGO Marvel and Avengers games, which were cool. But man, I just really like this Skywalker Saga one. I know it sounds silly, especially for a person like me who games pretty regularly, but sometimes the puzzles in LEGO games can be pretty hard (or, at least it's hard to figure out what you're supposed to do or where to go in some areas). That's really not been an issue for me in this new game, though- it's just a fun time.

And tbh, I feel like this won't affect the replay-ability too much of the game, since a lot of the puzzles in older LEGO games are just kind of busy work anyway- once you figure out how to do it, it's just a bit of a slog to actually do the work to get it done.

So, I'm going through Episodes I-IX, and am on A New Hope right now, and am super excited to play this one with my kid some day. I think we'll watch the movies, then play the episode in LEGO after.

And yes... of course I'm getting way ahead of myself with this, considering he's a newborn. But man, I've been waiting to introduce my future kid to Star Wars for a long time now!
