    I realise it sounds a bit hokey, but I was chatting at the weekend and heard that LfL are apparently "down to the last two people to play young Indy" in the fifth movie. The particularly interesting part of this is that people being considered are not necessarily actors, so suspicion is that they're either using a likeness or going for a mo-cap to allow for a de-aged approach like Luke in The Mandalorian.

    I was soooo disappointed with Kingdom, so I'm really hoping this redeems things and lets the franchise bow on a high.

    Very exiting! Looks like they're doing a 40s thing again, which has to mean flashback and/or de-aged Indy. (Or, the timeline just diverges massively from our own world). I'm pumped :D


    Also, it's always shocking to see that swastika out and about. I remembered, back in 2008 when they were filming Max Manus: Man of War here in Norway; I came into the livingroom one day where the news were on the TV, showing the Nazi flag flying over the Norwegian Parliament...

    It was just a news story about the filming of the big budget movie, of course, but it did take my brain a few seconds to climb out of the panic-mode :rolleyes:

    I think there's a lot of people who are surprised tbh. Ford and his two most iconic screen portrayals were an absolute cornerstone of my childhood, so knowing he'll be 80 by the time this film lands just seems absurd. I mean my grandfather made it to 86yrs old and I know how old and frail he was, so an actor doing this kind of role makes my head spin!

    Honestly, I really dig “Empire of Evil” as a title. And I too am amazed that this film is finally happening. It’s been constantly pushed back for years and now it’s finally coming to fruition!

    We’re definitely getting some de-aged Harrison Ford scenes so I’m excited to see how those turn out. In general though, I’m excited to see how everything turns out!

    That title feels a nice throwback to the old 'serial adventure' style of the original movies, but it does also have weird connotations using the word Empire in the name of a movie given the link to Ford's other best known screen portrayal.

    I'm intrigued by the premise - does it mean it'll be a flashback-centric film or (Gods forbid!) are they gonna throw Time Travel in there... I seriously hope not the latter!?

    My guess is that the movie will start with a Last Crusade-esque flashback with de-aged Indy fighting Nazis during WW2 and maybe the artifact he’s going after will tie in to the main plot of the movie during the sixties. Who knows at this point! I’m just excited to learn more about this movie.

    It's fun to hear the pipe band that's seen in the parade playing "Scotland The Brave". I don't know if that particular tune was played to herald the astronauts return lol. It got the crowds lining the streets cheering though. :)

    There's a big rumor making the rounds that Harrison Ford lookalike Anthony Ingruber is in the film. I was disappointed that he wasn't cast as Han Solo. could he be the future of Indiana Jones?

    Big rumor? Where is this big rumor? I didn't see it...

    Personally, I don't really know Anthony Ingruber that well; I saw him in that one film, that I can't remember the name of, where he played Harrison Ford's character's younger self, but while he knew how to smirk the right way, he was not that good of an actor. Alden Ehrenreich is a FAR superio actor, and he (AE) embodied the character perfectly in S:ASWS.
