it sure has been quiet on the BOBF front... not seen any interviews, hints or sneaks of anything. when you think about the various shoot pics for Andor, Kenobi etc it makes you realise how 'behind closed doors' this next live action show has been

I assume this is because Obi-Wan is filming primarily within the closed and easily controled environment of a Volume stage, whereas Andor primarily uses traditional, outdoors sets. Also, there might be a difference in culture between the two projects (similat to how Rodriguez was much more open with his filming than other Mando shoots). And finally, summer time is quiet time and we'll likely not see any intervews for any SW project until summer is over.

I expect the autumn to be completely dominated by BoBF promo :D

Every summer we wonder where SW's gone, and every summer someone will claim that Disney has lost the plot and don't know how to market their products. Every year

    Cool stuff. Seems like
a battle for Mandalore might be in stall for TBoBF. I was assuming this would be what Mando3 was all about, but that said...
It's also quite interesting that they're numbering the episodes Chapter 17-24, slotting TBoBF squarely into the "MandoVerse", so to speak.

Niccccce. I didn't catch that. Judging from the titles it seems this first season of TBoBF is going to be pretty da## battle heavy, which is to be expected of course. I am however pondering if the next season of Mando can top it. I've read that TBoBF goes way over the top in battle hardened fan service.

I'm now wondering if this chapter numbering will continue through Ahsoka & Rangers of the New Republic (assuming that's still happening) & the unspecified "crossover-event", too? We might end up with a 60-100 episode MandoVerse series, here!

I originally speculated that TBoBF would be about the bounty hunter pair investigating the origins of Grogu; why Moff Gideon knew about him and how he ended up in the hands of those Niktos in The Mandalorian s1.ep1, and ultimately what happened to Grogu during the era of the Empire (i.e. how he escaped the slaughter of the Jedi and all that). THAT, I assumed, would be the bounty hunters' story, but the more tidbits of information we get the less likely this seems to be. With TBoBF seemingly being an all out "Star War", pun intended, and seemingly (my guess) covering the event I suggested above, I now have absolutely no clue what M3 is going to be about! Which is pretty cool, really :)

    Some more speculations:
If TBoBF really IS all about Boba befriending Mandos and leading them in a great Battle for Mandalore, the "Homeworld", then... will they also resolve the Darksaber plot and all that? If so, then Mando3 will kick off entirely without any previously set-up plot arcs... unless Mando3 jumps right into Ahsoka's hunt for Grand Admiral Thrawn

Edit: Oh, I just thought of a possible end to a certain arc... (which is something everybody might have assumed already, me being slow and all ;) )
If TBoBF resolves the Darksaber/Heir of Mandalore thing, then it's a pretty safe bet that the one who'll end up with the Darksaber and the Mandalore Throne is neither Bo-Katan nor Din Djarin, but actually Boba himself (the title character of the show). Now, that would be absolutely bonkers! heh heh.

Ok now you have me pondering even harder hehe.

Yes. The whole episodic continuation. I.e. Andor - Season One Episode 28, or something to that effect. Pretty darn cool. I will respond to the rest later after I've had some time to gather my speculations. :D

Saw this a few minutes ago.

Oh, I don't think Andor & Obi-Wan etc. will be part of an overarching MandoVerse series, but... they "could" possibly start off their own "Dark Times" super-crossover-series! Although, I don't think so, really. Andor & Obi-Wan seems like pretty separate events to me, with separate showrunners and all, whereas the MandoVerse is a more cohesive F&F sandbox thingy.

I'm not a big Boba Fett guy, but I'm very interested in this show.
I'd like to know what his motives are. Is it power, money, revenge?

Possibly Power. During this time period there is a massive power void throughout the galaxy. Jabba is dead, the Empire has crumbled, the Republic is weak even Mandalor is up for grabs.

Revenge. If I was Boba Fett id want to get Han. Big time. Han was fetts white whale. When he finally caught him, han escapes, and kills his boss. With the help of a jedi no less. Im sure fett has no love for jedi since he watched one behead his father.

    What do you all think?

If you are fan of Boba Fett I'd recommend the bounty hunter wars. It's one of the best Star Wars comic books published by Marvel comics and written by the great Charles Soule.
also, the Legends book the bounty hunter wars trilogy written by KW Jeter. It's a dry read meaning its long winded but you get an old detailed story of how Boba Fett survived the sarlacc pit which I thought was interesting.
On another note, the Hollywood strike 2021 which might begin this Monday if the Hollywood crews don't reach an amicable deal will stall all productions including the Mandalorian season 3 which I fear. We have waited so long we might have to wait a bit longer for season 3.

Dang. That's something. Every industry is being effected by either labor shortage or strikes. It's getting crazy. Hollywood like every other industry is hurting big time. Covid pretty much killed the movie theater, now they have to deal with labor difficulty.

indeed. slightly off topic I know, but being part of a crew/former crew group on Fb the level of anticipation and mass mobilisation of IATSE members that i'm seeing each day is astounding - so i really hope they can mediate a resolution that keeps the industry going. Covid decimated production for a big chunk of the past 18-20mths, so a drawn out strike (even with the legitimate concerns and reasons the members have) could be devastating for people.

When he said ''speak freely'' it was more like ''choose your words carefully, they may be your last in this galaxy''

Now, this is just my opinion, (so feel free to ignore everything I say,) but I dislike this line and am shocked more people aren’t criticizing it.

Since when did Boba Fett “respect” people? From his childhood, Boba Fett was always backstabbing somebody for a paycheck. He is not a nice guy, nor should Disney ever alter his persona to be one. This line makes me second-guess the direction of this show. If BOBF is just about Boba’s plan to be “the boss,” then I must ask: why??? Why now and not 5 years ago after escaping sarlaac? Was he honestly waiting to get his armor back? If I was one of those aliens sitting in that board meeting, I would be laughing at Boba Fett for even suggesting “I intend to rule with respect.” (Really? The guy wearing a rocket pack loaded with weapons from head to toe is NOT going to rule with fear?) On top of that, I am confused why these characters see Boba Fett as important and imposing. Sure, he’s got cool armor, but there were lots of tough characters in Jabba’s Palace who could take on the guy and possibly win. In the end, this storyline was written less as a logical evolution of character and more to check-off an item from fans’ wishlists. Boba Fett is only important in the eyes of FANS, not in the eyes of characters within the Star Wars universe. This is the kind of “breaking the fourth wall” that I’ve been seeing since Disney has run Lucasfilm: characters that FANS love gain an unusual legendary status. (Example with Rey in TFA “luke Skywalker? I thought he was just a legend?” Sure, to fans who grew up watching ANH he is a legend, but chances are most people in this galaxy, especially Jaaku, probably never heard of Skywalker.)

Now, if “I intend to rule with respect” is a big, fat lie and 5 minutes later everyone in the scene is shooting each other, then I take back everything I wrote in the previous paragraph.
