I'm curious about the camera type and work. I'd like to do a film and the camera work is what would hold me up, as well as editing, etc. I can write a script and gather the actors, but the camera work is my hold up. Any suggestions?

The only thing I've done is a simple, stop motion video with a LEGO Stormtrooper walking down a hallway. That's about it.

Maybe try and find a local person with a camera who might shoot with you for free if you give them some form of payment. My co-filmmaker for our Star Wars fan film "Star Wars: The Mission" used his own digital camera. I have been working w/ another friend on other projects and I pay him an agreed upon reasonable and affordable day rate.

I'm trying to make one now, but other than a few horrible stop motions, I have not ever made a fan film.

Creating a fan film its very tough to do that. With low budgets, its very hard to produce your dreams bringing to life.

Hi everyone, I'm creating a fan video for the TV series "Mandalorian". I also wrote a short article about the process of creating it. Yes, it's hard to say anything about the video after a couple of shots, but still, what do you think? https://teletype.in/@alexeygraves/hjYhzBj701g
