SPECULATION Do you guys thing Rex will ever meet with Vader in canon? If so, how could they make this happen?

Yeah ahsoka is everywhere. I don’t mind it but it is ruining her uniqueness and special-ness if you will. Like, she used to only be in TCW.

 

also, I'm not quite sure I want to see her more in live-action. She's one of those characters that really looks better in animation. i hope they don't mess up thrawn terribly. I love both characters, but they are very easy to mess up in live-action, so I'm unsure. I think they should go less of rebels for Thrawn, and more off of him from the cover of the original Thrawn series. (for makeup and stuff)

 

I agree. Thrawn and Ahsoka are just better in animation. I was actually really happy to see Ahsoka in Mando but she looked quite different from what I was used to in TCW. It takes a good costume crew to make sure these characters look nice

 

If you can tolerate Anakin & Obi-Wan's characterizations and depictions in TCW -- which are frequently VERY different from their motion picture standards -- then you sure can tolerate live action Ahsoka & Thrawn. Not to mention Darth Vader looking nothing like his "ture self" in Rebels, but draw more from earlier concept art versions of the SW villain. Y'all are creating your own missery here.

 

Yes but there is a limit to what I would notice or rather, what I’d care to notice if you will. Sure Vader looks very different in Rebels but like, I didn’t care enough. With characters like Ahsoka and Thrawn, who have odd skin colors and whatnot, that would be much stranger in live action. Orange with odd hair and a blue dude with red eyes. A little hard to do well in a live action. I wouldn’t say im creating my own misery because I would still be happy with anything we get, whether it meets or exceeds my expectations

 

well said! i want to see more, just a bit unsure about alien characters in live-action. ill still be happy either way!

I wonder if they encountered each other if Vader would tell him he killed Anakin, or that he sort of is Anakin and try to get him to join. Or kill him for betraying the Jedi, yet you cannot fault Rex for betraying Anakin - he never did. He didn't know, right? I would pay to see that. But would you want to see it live-action, or animated, and why?

 

Honestly I don't think it matters whether they actually meet, the most interesting part of this concept is the emotional fallout for Rex, and he could well find out without a direct confrontation. Would have to take place sometime after Rebels though
