So by now we have all seen Visions.
I’m curious to know, what is the first of the shorts you RE watched?

For me, it was the Village Bride. While it didn’t have the backstory of Ninth Jedi, the brutal fight scenes of the Elder, or the cool umbrella of The Duel, there is something about The Village Bride that got me in a good way. So much that I rewatched it several times. I can’t put my finger on it. I think part of the reason is that this short throws you into a world that is so unique but clearly Star Wars without pounding one over the head with the “usual” visual motifs (the lightsaber and action doesn’t show up till the end.) It was a drawn-out storyline with (in my opinion) the most sweeping musical score, the best “costumes,” and characters interesting enough but still down-to-earth relatable. Above all, this movie presented an original planet’s culture, something I find missing in the new films which are barren and only contain rebel bases or camps. The Village Bride was everything I wanted in Star Wars and I felt this was the most “out there” visually since the prequels.

Same here, the Village Bride was the most memorable one, I was moved to tears when the music played when Ansu was carrying his bride up the cliff side to the waterfall. F's scene with Haru giving the chance for redemption was another great one & how she came removed her mask & saved the couple. I hope we see them again in season 2 if that happens.

I would have watched The Village Bride first, but I wanted to show my dad some of the shorts, so we watched The Duel and then The Village Bride. He really enjoyed the former and nearly fell asleep on the latter (it had been a long day, and it wasn't really his cup of tea). I'll probably show him:

The Ninth Jedi (I think he'll like but not love)
The Elder (I think he'll really like this one)
Lop and Ocho (He MAY like, but I don't see him loving it)
    Akakiri (I honestly don't know)

For me it was The Duel. In fact, I watched that one for the second time before I moved on to any of the others. :)

The Twins. Not really impressed with it.

I thought the Village Bride, The Ninth Jedi, and The Duel were all awesome though.

I re-watched The 9th Jedi several times. That one was amazing!
