Another older fan here, and Ya better believe that not only me but many others like me will be there to see all long the opening weekend.
So this'll be the ... what, third time ... hearin' "a great many won't ..."

And here come the naysayers with their slide rules, statistical regression charts, and basic overall bad attitude about SW right now.....

And the calls for "boycotting" a movie......

 

Not from me, and I'm firmly in "TLJ sucks camp." However, I sincerely hope that Solo is a good SW movie and that I'll enjoy it. I'm not going to throw the whole franchise out the window because I strongly disliked one movie. And besides, this is a spinoff and I'm finding myself more interested in those over the Episodes. The fact that Ron Howard and Donald Glover are both involved also gives me hope that this might just be a good movie.

 

Got my tickets to may 26 best seats In the House Half past six In the evening .. and we are watching it In 2D .. I'm not really into 3D any more ..

 

I know and I'm not really angry about Disney, so I can live with it if they still get my money, just for a different franchise.

 

Seems like we need a boycott SW thread for all these boycott discussions.....

at this point, all my hope is Solo is a good movie. I could not abide two consecutive bad star wars movie. I am hopeful considering that despite all the issues Rogue One was pretty decent.

 

Well, you are still around after the Prequels, so I am very optimistic about what you can do

 

Also an old fan here. Too young to see New Hope in the theater, but saw Empire onwards in the theater. I have lots and lots of friends that are old fans. Every one of us is excited for Solo. You're off base.

 

It's basically only the irrational ones that are conflating Solo with TLJ. Plenty of fans that didn't like TLJ are excited to see Solo. Everyone is better off just muting the crazies and the individuals who put the "" face on every other post. I for one have had a much better experience on this site after doing that.

I'm still waiting for my refund from James Cameron for Avatar and I figured Joel Schumacher would of paid my refund by now for putting batnips on Batman.

 

I already bought my ticket here in Luxembourg. May 23rd 7 pm.

Older fan here too. Was in line in '77 for ANH. Got my tickets the day they came out. Will be there front and center along with everyone else in the theater.


I don't see much of a boycott. I think there are a few better words such as "Pout".

I actually quite like the Prequels. it still felt like star wars despite its issues. Cannot say the same about TLJ. But unless Solo is a complete mess there is nothing to worry too much about.
