    I do not want J.J. to write.. but I think he's a fantastic director. It's bittersweet for me.. i'd rather J.J. focused purely on shots and performances than deciding where the story goes. Please bring back Michael Ardnt!

    Michael Arndt is notorious for how slowly he writes his scripts. If he would have been the one to pen Episode IX after Trevorrow's sacking we wouldn't get this film for the next four years.

    True and I agree but personally I would have preferred all scripts to have been done before the first film was started, something this large (SW Trilogy), needs more than the average film.

    I'd say screw it.. push it 2020 and let Arndt tie things up in the way he planned. The last two trilogies took 6-8 years and Disney are pushing to get this trilogy done in 5! You can't rush the main saga like that..

    J.J. was left to virtually start from scratch when some of the sets for 7 were already built! That's another thing the haters should consider..
