    I have a suggestion for the next time we do this.......I think we need to scrap the "going over" stuff.....just make it whomever is closest, etc. With overall box offices for many of these only in the single digit millions range it is difficult to get in there without stepping on someone. i.e. the old "price is right" strategy of making your guess $1 more than someone elses.....just a thought.

    Suggestions are welcome and are noted, but we won't be changing anything at this point in the game (or any, after starting). Next year we can definitely change things up. I agree with you, it really doesn't make a difference if one is over or under on the estimate. Not there is a defense necessary, but these were the rules that we used when the game was last played in 2016. It worked well then, but that's not to say there isn't room for improvements.

    The most practical part about not going over is that it makes it easier to score. If we change things next year, I'll just have to make sure @Viral Hide bumps my salary to account for the extra time invested in scoring this beast. ;)

    I said "next time we do this" , totally understand not changing the rules now.

    By the way, the closest without going over works well on the big mega BO movies, when you are guessing the nearest $5million of a $180million guess for example. It falls apart with all these low budget ones we are guessing on when one person goes $5.1M, another $5.2M etcd
