GAME 2019 Blockbuster Box Office Challenge

It's that time of year again... Blockbuster season is upon us!

Come one and come all, Cantineros -- join in on our very own Box Office challenge and show off your prowess at predicting! We are running a contest to see who is best at gauging the smash hits and the flimsy flops coming out of Hollywood this year.

A one-time buy in of only 50 credits gains you unlimited access to a summer full of potential winnings!

We'll have winners throughout the season, and we will have one GRAND PRIZE winner at the end of the summer.

We will also do special Cantina giveaways for those who take part in predicting some of this year's biggest movies. Special trophies will be up for grabs for movies like Avengers: Endgame, The Lion King, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Toy Story 4, and of course, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

At the end of the year, the top 3 places will be eligible for some REAL prizes, and we will do a raffle for all other participants as well. Whether you are in it for the fun or the loot, there is something for everyone!

The Rules

• Each week, movies will be selected for players to guess what their opening take will be in the box office. (See the Release List posted below; any updates / changes will be posted in the thread, as well as changed here)
• Post your predictions for each movies' domestic (United States) opening weekend in US $. See the screen cap below for reference.
• All predictions should be submitted before that movie opens (Wednesday night is suggested, Friday morning at latest).
• Do not post the same prediction as someone else; if you see someone else has predicted $54 million for a movie, do not post $54 million again.
• We will be using US domestic figures only, not global or international.

• The number we will be using as a final result can be found here on Box Office Mojo:

I was considering having a window of +/- $20m, but I don't even know if I want to do that. If we don't, at least someone always wins.
If we do, for example, if a movie hits $80m and we were all guessing less than $60m or over $100m, there would be no winners.

Thoughts? If you are in favor of the window, we can all vote on the amount. +/- 20 was just an example.

For total clarification, this means that if a movie makes $80m, only guesses between $70m - $90m will be eligible for placing in the top 3 and earning points.
