Now I don’t know how this movie will begin or end, like I said this thread is completely speculation. but in case I’m right about something, I’ll say

    Potential Spoilers Ahead

This will be quite a lengthy speculation so bare with me lol

Post ROTJ, the Rebellion continues fighting the Empire, and with the Emperor and Vader dead, more systems join the rebellion to crush the Empire once and for all. During this time of course, the Battle of Jakku happens and at long last the war is over. The Republic is reformed and peace reigns for about 8-10 years.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the galaxy Starkiller Base is created in secret and the First Order is born. Not sure how exactly, but it probably involves some evil maniacal plan that SC Snoke came up with. Eventually, they gather enough straight and launch a surprise attack on the New Republic which is still in its infancy and it is devastatingly effective. Crap hits the fan and the OT heroes go into exile.

Han and Leia have Rey around this time which will put her around 18-20 in TFA (hell, they may even make her character Ridley's actual age). Of course they want to keep her safe (possibly secret) as they rally the resistance, so they decide to send her away. Luke offers to take her away and keep her safe (like Obi-Wan). They agree and Han tells him to take the Falcon. Luke takes Rey and R2 with him. I'm thinking Luke wanted to go somewhere that feels like home but is not Tatooine (because everybody in the freaking galaxy by now probably knows to look for a Skywalker on Tatooine). Instead, he goes to Jakku because I'm guessing he was present for the final battle between the Empire and Rebellion. He doesn’t tell anyone where he’s going, not even Han and Leia. He puts the coordinates in the navi-computer and blast off to Jakku.

On Jakku he finds a settlement in a remote location, to his surprise, it's populated by former Imperial soldiers who survived the Star Destroyer crash but were never rescued. However they no longer claim allegiance to the Empire or anyone else for that matter, all they care about is surviving on Jakku. The native people are scavengers much like on Tatooine and so the settlers makes a living by selling what ever junk from the battle they can find. Luke, R2, and Rey became part of the settlement and for the next 20+ years they remain there.

    Fast Forward:

At some point during the beginning of TFA film, I’m guessing that Luke becomes a hot commodity for both sides (probably has something to do with the force “awakening”) Kylo is looking for him and so is Leia.

I’m guessing that she is given the Anakin's blue lightsaber rather early so that she can use the force to locate Luke. She locates Luke through the force and sends Poe to get him Rey and R2 however, because Kylo has Vader’s mask, he can also locate Luke through the force.

Poe arrives on Jakku and finds the settlement but

Kylo and Finn also arrive on Jakku and finds the settlement where Luke Rey and R2 have been but none of them are there so[IMG]

he orders his men to burn it.

Poe sends BB-8 off to find Luke at some point, then he either tries to be a hero and save everybody or tries to escape.

but he’s captured and they take him to the ship.

Finn is traumatized by the experience and decides to defect and help Poe escape.

Luke senses a disturbance in the force when the settlement is destroyed, He and R2 rush back but are too late.

Luke knows they were looking for them so he goes to find Rey because he knows they will be back.

    Back to the ship

    Poe and Finn escape

    and crash in the desert.

Finn climbs out of the wreckage and grabs poe who is probably injured

    meanwhile,

BB-8 finds Rey, she finds out he’s looking for Luke Skywalker

Luke is in the Falcon saying they need to leave because it’s not safe there anymore. He tells her about the settlement and probably about the force and the skywalker legacy BB-8 delivers the message from Leia to Luke when they the ship crash and Rey rushes to see what it is, she finds them and smuggles them back to the Falcon.

Finn and Poe swop clothes on the Falcon. Luke tends Poe’s wounds while he probably tells Luke about the past 20 years. BB-8, Finn, and Rey go out on a supply run when, the market place is attacked, they board the falcon and

Rey pilots them out of there while Luke and Finn man the turrets.

They make it back to the rebel base.

Which is when Han and Chewie board for the first time in 20+ years and deliver that memorable line.

That's all I have, remember this is purely speculation based on all the official news, rumors, and other speculative content that I’ve read so far that I’ve organized into a narrative that makes sense to me.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it!

This has a very nice flow, and seems like a great narrative! I can really see it unfolding much clearer than anything I've read online, especially anything from MSW!

Well thought out! I did have a question about two of the shots (question for anyone). Finn's stormtrooper armor is pretty dirty, plus there's blood on the helmet. If the shot with Poe is of Finn in his armor, how/when did it get cleaned? Do we see Finn without the armor aboard the Star Destroyer and then he gets back in?

So, that is definitely an aspect that I took a leap of faith on lol. It might not be Finn in the armor, Poe may have gotten captured before they burned the village, I don't know. I have a feeling that the stormtrooper who is taking Poe to the brig is not Finn. I remember someone saying that Finn's friend was killed by Kylo for not following his orders to burn the village, idk if that was debunked but if it wasn't I'm willing to bet that's what sparked Finn to defect. Poe is probably a renowned pilot around the galaxy so Finn helping him escape is definitely going to win him over with the resistance. That's my bet.

Great speculation, this is a LOT more believable than the MSW article. Btw how long it took you to put it all together?

I started a few weeks after celebration. On and off, I've had this theory for a long time, but the behind the scenes footage we got at SDCC was very helpful.

According to Mizzlewump, "The main antagonists are an older student of the Emperor, and his apprentice."

Ok, combined with mysterious figure looting Vader's body in droid tales it seems this is highly likely. Also we must consider the Vader comic series by Marvel. Palpatine was doing his very best to replace the Chosen One. It is easy to accept a powerful student shadowing his Master and Vader. Anakin was clearly obsessed with his son so most likely blinded to it. They perish aboard the Death Star, and while the rebels celebrate Smoke strikes, raiding the grave of the Dark Lord.

The MSW thread about the events after ROTJ include a very important piece. PALPATINE was a martyr to the troops. Perhaps this is the basis for the First Order. If true, what was Vader needed for? I believe symbology as a religious figure and the lure to one day destroy Luke. He takes the Imperial fleet into the Nebulae to an ancient Sith world to prepare for their resurrection.

Kylo and Rey are born, and now Snoke has his opportunity . The seven descend upon the Academy murdering the padawans. Kylo is kidnapped. Rey is hidden . Luke, sensing a larger threat goes into exile like Yoda and Ben. He learned the errors of his mistake in empire. While he waits for Rey, The first order has arrived in force.

    Mizzlewump continues.

"In the script, the Sith are a couple thousand years old, founded by an ancestor of Palpatine called Ruin; the apprentice in this film also goes by that name."

I think Snoke is very powerful, but if Kylo is the grandson of Vader , he will be overpowered and as rumored, "take control of the dynamic quickly." He could then refound the Sith and what better name to use than that of the First Dark Lord.

This is a possible scenario. I personally have an issue with Snoke dying because according to MSW the General contacts him as the Starkiller base is coming down. So if valid he is still alive in the Third act. If Mizzlewump is legit he read the 2nd draft so a few of these things could have changed or been moved to Episode VIII.

I look forward to your comments and your own thoughts.

Well thought out, I like this much better than 20 second Luke at the end. Never occurred to me that Luke and R2 could be at the aftermath of the storm trooper torching.

One thing though, why would Luke have the Falcon on Jakku? I think Solo would go himself to guard his daughter, rather than let Uncle Luke raise his kid and take his ship. Han owes him one, but c'mon.

Also, one thing I noticed. @Jedi Master Kalu, it seems like you've got most of Act I down, except I'm starting to feel as if Han is a bit left out. I know he doesn't presumably enter till later, but all rumors have stated he comes to Jakku or is already on there. I can see Luke and Finn on the guns just like in the old days (in Luke's case), but I feel Battlefront's battle of Jakku will have the Falcon be abandoned or left behind. Han does mention he gets the feeling he wont see the Falcon again in ROTJ, so maybe Lando uses it with Han's permission after Endor for more battles, but is forced to leave it or face death? Who knows?

I think if Luke was was going to be on the MF he'd be included in the Lego set just leaked. Your hypothesis is interesting however and they could just be hiding Luke in the marketing, for what reason I don't know.

Well when you think about the Millennium Falcon you automatically think Han and Chewie. From a writing standpoint, it is key to disassociate Han and Chewie early in the movie, so that when Han and Chewie actually do get on the Falcon, and Han says: "Chewie, we're home"; the first time viewers will understand that it was their ship to begin with because they have history and it allows the long time fans a moment of satisfaction because for us, it won't feel right to see someone besides Han and Chewie piloting the Falcon. It will also probably be the first time in the movie we'll see the new trio and the old trio all together as one big family before we enter Act II.
