Am I the only One who Enjoyed The Sequel Trio as much as The Rey and Kylo stuff

I loved all the main characters in the ST.

They nailed with the cast. Love them all.

 

I loved it all. I really dont understand what people didnt like.

Yes I know some didnt like Rey being a Palpatine or her taking Skywalker name. Ok, but suppose you never heard Kylo say you are a Palpatine or left after the celebration. It doesnt change what went on screen and the movie is fun and has great emotional moments.

 

I like very much Rey Poe and Kylo, I don´t like very much Finn, specially in TFA and TLJ, but he improved a little bit in TROS. And yes, the dynamics between them were much better in TROS, one of the things that TLJ didn´t achive, as characters as Finn I think don´t stand a plotline on their own (Canto Bight is the worst part of ST in my opinion) On the other hand, TLJ highlights are probably best part in ST...Disgracefully, in my opinion other secondary characters have been very poor...excep BB8. BB8 rules.

 

I liked the Trio in TFA, can't put the finger on it, but I didn't enjoy their screentime together in tros that much as I had hoped for.

 

It became forced to have them together. It never felt "real". IMO anyways.

 

I liked them too, especially in TFA. But in TROS their chemistry lacked for me. They were always arguing with each other, or sometimes they were even mad at each other. Yes, some conflict is good, but it felt forced here.

A good example for characters having great chemistry - but still arguing with each other - can be found in Supernatural: Sam and Dean Winchester.

The people who wrote their relationship and dialog should write the dialogs for the next Star Wars trilogy.

 

The arguing has to matter. Something has to come from the conflict. It was just Poe and Finn bickering and Rey saying "I have to do this alone!"

 

Personally, I think they could have given Armatage Hux better characterisation instead of having him as the whipping boy. I more or less imagine him to be someone similar to Stahl from Killzone 3 with Kylo Ren being like Admiral Orlock with his rigid and old fashioned sense of honour.
